DEMONSTRATIONS
Friday, August 5, 2016
10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
By the 4-H Barns
Livestock demo may be related to any livestock
area that the member is enrolled in. Demo shall not
exceed 15 minutes in length. County cash prizes of
$25, $20, $15 and $10 for the first four placings will
be awarded. All others will receive a $5 premium.
Livestock demonstration can be taken to State Fair
in addition to a regular non-livestock trip. In order
to take this for a state fair trip, it must be on your
fair registration.
Demonstrate your knowledge by using your animal
as a visual aid. At State Fair a $30.00 premium is
given. The 4-H’er must use an animal already
showing at the State Fair. All 4-H’ers who
demonstrate are eligible for State Fair and the $30
premium. If the member has a livestock trip they
may use their own animal at the State Fair. If
member is not showing an animal at State Fair
he/she must borrow another member’s animal.
A live animal must be incorporated into this
demonstration.
