V-CARE PROGRAMME
Date: 04/09/2019 Place : Kathatippatti
Acknowledgment
We are deeply indebted to the Principal Dr.S.Suresh for his guidance and cooperation for
village visit.
Our sincere gratitude to the Correspondent Rev. Fr. Dr. Sebastian Periannan for gave us
permission to organize the visit.
We also express our sincere gratitude to Administrator Rev.Fr.S. Arockiadass and Head of
Department Dr.K.Sujith who have taken a lot of efforts for coming along with us at each and
every step.
We thank Headmistress for being supportive all the time and giving such a good opportunity
to interact with the people of village.
1. Purpose of visit
Village care visits are important for the following reasons.
1. The government school students are trained in environment awareness, cleanliness and
improving their language skill.
2. To give awareness of “literacy”, this will help the development of village students.
In order to achieve the above mentioned objectives the Computer Science and Visual
Communication organized a village visit to Kathatippatti.
2. Visit in Government School
We visited the government school at Kathatippati. The Headmistress gave a brief
introduction about the school. She told us about the different activities in their school.
The school students have good discipline and involvement in extracurricular activities
like drawing and painting.
The games organized by our college students helped to expose their talents.
The documentary film has shown by the students of visual communication.

3. Personal experience of students
The experience of working in rural environment is new to our college students and staff
members. The village visit was the interface between the college and school students for
motivating the people to take care of the environment. All those who attended experienced the
life of rural people.
Students were given an opportunity to have dialogue with Headmistress and students
asked different questions related to development of village. They also asked their queries on
how the village school could be developed by our college.
The staff and students were motivated to each student would work for his (or) her village
in future.
4. Conclusion
The experience of this village visit was really fantastic and unforgettable. Students were
encouraged to work for rural development. They got a clear idea as to which amenities and
infrastructure are for betterment of life at rural area. Students were also made aware of different
scheme by our college for rural development. We are very much thankful to the management
for such village visit. By using this concept our students can contribute towards the nation
development.
