How do I begin the PowerPoint slideshow?

At the top of your screen, you will see multiple tab options. First click the tab labeled “Slide Show.” Then click “From Beginning” or “From Current Slide,” depending on where you are in the process.

**Links will not open properly unless you are in slide show mode!

If a link does not open, what should I do?

It is possible the document has opened and is hidden behind the PowerPoint. Exit the slideshow by pressing the “esc” button located at the top left of your keyboard. Then, look at the bottom of your screen for the blinking document/site on your task bar. Click on the title and the page should open. When you are finished with the resource, reopen the PowerPoint by clicking on the WebQuest title found on the task bar.

If a link does not work (video, audio, or website), what should I do?

All of the resources are current and working. However, some computers have difficulty opening all of the resources. If this happens to you and the link is optional (as labeled with a purple gem stone), please choose a different resource to view. If the resource is required (as labeled with a gold coin), please contact the technology support technician at your school or use a different computer to access the resource.

What if my computer does not have a “pause” button?

If your computer does not have a pause button, or if you are unable to find the button on your keyboard, you can pause the PowerPoint by clicking on the set of three dots located at the bottom of the screen (when you are viewing the PowerPoint). When you click the three dots, a menu of options will appear. Click the “pause” option to pause the narration. When you are ready to continue, click the three dots again and press “resume.” See the screenshot below.
