    Annex 7. Production Calculations

    1. Methodology Used

    The calculation for obtainable production was carried out simulating, during aperiod of years, the functioning of the plant, with flow numbers. For this, acalculation sheet was created, in which the daily production is obtained from

    these daily average flows, considering in each case the available net head infunction of the diverse head loss.

    The series of flows is determined in the corresponding hydrology annex.

    The calculations carried out are the following:

    For each available flow in the flow station (column Q river – previously specifiedday, month and year of the measurement an e!uivalent flow to that of thestudied basin (column Q inta"e. For this, the relative coefficients of the basinsand the reductions, in this case, are available in the hydrology annex (#asin

    cells.

    $iven the flows circulating in the area of the inta"e, it does not ta"e theecological, biological or reserve flows (flow cells, which will not be ta"en in anycase. The resulting flows (column Q river%ec is compared with the design flow(flow cells, e!ualing it to all that are superior (column Q captured. &fterwards,the data obtained will be compared with the minimum turbinable flow (flowcells, which depends on the number of groups and the type of turbines,e!ualing to 'ero all of those flows below the minimum turbined (Q turbined.

    nce the turbined flow is obtained, the determination of the net head ta"esplace, for this the head loss for )olebroo" for each flow in function to thegeometric conditions of the pipe are calculated. The possibility of the existenceof two section tubes with distinct physical characteristics was foreseen. Thedata related to each is found in the cells *ead loss, where the interior diameter of the conduction is described, and the length, the number of +oints, theabsolute roughness and the viscosity of the water. ith this data the head lossfor each flow and each tube can be calculated (column losses section - andlosses section , later summing the data to obtain the total loss (column totalloss. The calculations are carried out in the auxiliary sheets, applying iterativesystems necessary for the resolution of the implicit e!uation by )olebroo".

    Finally for each flow its corresponding net head is obtained, subtracting thegross available useful head (cells /lant )haracteristics, for each of thecalculated losses (column net head.

    The daily production is obtained (column daily production by multiplying theinstantaneous power by the 3 h in a day. The global accumulated production of the entire period of the calculation is obtained by the accumulated sum of all thedaily production data (column accumulated production.

    4n the cells production and annual production, the values for the total production

    of the studied period are shown, along with the average annual production andannual production for each of the studied years.
