AUDITIONINFORMATION

AuditionswillbeheldattheMarlboroughDistrcitBrassBandRooms,21AucklandStreet,Blenheim.TheAnnieteamwillbeusinga“ClosedAudition’format.Thismeansthatonlythecoreteamwillbepresentduringtheauditionprocess.Un-authorisedspectators,parentsorguardianswillnotbeallowedtowatchtheauditionprocess.Wewillcontacteveryonewhoauditionsbyphoneoremailtoletyouknowwhetheryouhavebeencast.CHILDREN’SAUDITION-Youmustbeatleast8yearsoldtoauditionTheprogramforthechildren’sauditionshasbeensettoallowtheANNIEteamtospendtimewiththechildreninarelaxedenvironmentsoastobestdeterminetheirstrengthsandfitnessfortheshow.Theatregames,movementandsongwillallbepartofthisprocess.Don’tworry.......We’llteachthemeverythingtheywillneedtoknowinordertohaveapositiveexperience.TheroleofANNIEwillbecastfromthegeneralchildren’sauditionandacallbackaudition. Thisshowhasmanysizeablerolesformen,womenandchildren.Wehighlyencouragefamiliestoaudition.

Aswejourneythrough,Annieencountersseveralhardshipsasanorphan.Someofthesescenesaresuspenseful,whichiswhywehavedecidedtoopenauditionstoanyoneeightyearsoldandabove.

YoudonotneedtobeamemberofBlenheimMusicalTheatretoaudition.

Thereisaspotonyourauditionformtolistanyconflictsofcommitments.Pleasecarefullyfillthisouttothebestofyourknowledge.Listanyvacations,schoolorworkconflicts.Ifanyadditionalconflictsarise,pleaselettheDirectororProductionManagerknowassoonaspossible.Unfortunatelywecannotcastpeoplewhohaveconflictsfortheperformancedates.
