Help the ESSO Education and Training Committeeexpand its database of training opportunities for youngsurgical oncologists
The ESSO Education and Training Committee (ETC) whichis responsible for granting the ESSO fellowships, is keen toassist young cancer surgeons in finding a hospital/ institute /cancer centre that responds to their specific training needsand that have available training opportunities.Hence, ESSO has started creating a registry of availablehost locations across Europe for a training fellowship. The ETC strongly believe that such a registry will help in-crease the mobility of young cancer surgeons across Europeand help many of them find the most suitable location fortheir training. With this objective in mind, the ETC would welcomereceiving expressions of interest for hosting a young surgi-cal fellow or information on fellowship opportunities inEurope. To this end, ESSO has developed a questionnaire for hostinstitutions that can be downloaded from the ESSO websiteat www.essoweb.org or requested from the ESSO Secre-tariat ([email protected]).With this information the ETC hopes to expand its databaseof available training opportunities in Europe for the benefitof young cancer surgeons eager to extend their practice.
