AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE -- NOVEMBER IS CONSECRATION MONTH AT ALDERSGATE The month of November at Aldersgate Church is a time of inventorying God's great gifts to us ... and our opportunity and responsibility of receiving and using those gifts for the Glory of Christ. We begin with Nov. 1 worship focus on the work of God's Saints. Who's a saint anyway? Answer: Anyone in Christ. Saints are perfect; they are participants in God's amazing work through Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 12:1 -- Here's what I want you to do, God helping you: take your everyday, ordinary life ... and make it an offering!" Nov. 8 focuses upon the gift of life to each one of us, and the precious gift of children and the responsibility tasks that entails for us as people of Jesus. The amazing work of God through Aldersgate's Pre-School Ministry will be celebrated, and through this ministry we'll be challenged to consider where in our lives God is giving us opportunity to make a difference for the Kingdom of Jesus -- here and to come, eternal. Nov. 15 brings opportunity to celebrate the gift of sacrificial service -- specifically through the military, but also more generally and expectantly through our everyday, ordinary lives. We'll hear the Gospel proclamation from U.S. Army Chaplain David Smith. Nov. 22 is Consecration Sunday 2015 -- an opportunity for each household here to intentionally respond in covenant commitment to the sharing of our gifts in fulfillment of the Body's witness throughout the year in Jesus. The Stewardship & Finance Committee will assist through the month in opening our ears and our eyes to God's faithfulness ... and our hearts for God's healing purpose through ministry gifts. Aldersgate Church's "2015 CHURCH CONFERENCE" Scheduled for TODAY Under the structure and organization of The United Methodist Church, local congregations such as Aldersgate must annually hold/conduct a "Church Conference" to elect officers, vote on the appointed pastor's compensation, and to receive a variety of reports such as the annual audit. Aldersgate Church's CHURCH CONFERENCE will be held Today at 6 pm as part of a multi-church gathering here at Aldersgate. Mechanicsburg-area United Methodist churches will gather in the sanctuary for a brief time of worship and reflection by Rev. Barry Robison, Harrisburg District Superintendent. Immediately following the worship gathering, Aldersgate Church will convene its CHURCH CONFERENCE meeting in the sanctuary while other church gatherings move to their assigned rooms in the building. All members of Aldersgate Church have voice and vote and are invited to attend.

Gathering and Singing in Thanksgiving

Our Lives, Our Cries, Our Hopes Brought to God

By prayer, come as you are that you might become what God intends for you to be … We are privileged to receive musical offerings today from

John Franklin and Randy Noaker, dear friends of Pastor Troy.

Consecration Ministry Moment

November 22 will afford us the opportunity to place our life commitments on the symbolic Altar Table of our God – in Thanksgiving to The Source of all Blessings!

Presenting God’s Tithes and Our Offerings

“Honor the Lord with your wealth, and with the best part of everything you produce.” - Proverbs 3:9

The Scriptures Are Opened

Jeremiah 29:11 – For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.

Mark 10:13-15 – People were bringing little children to him in order that he might touch them; and the disciples spoke sternly to them. But when Jesus saw this, he

was indignant and said to them, “Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. Truly I tell you,

whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.”
