1 REPUBLIQUE DU BENIN Fraternité – Justice - Travail ----- ASSEMBLEE NATIONALE Loi n° 2013-01 portant code foncier et domanial en République du Bénin. L’Assemblée Nationale a délibéré et adopté en sa séance du 14 janvier 2013, la loi dont la teneur suit : TITRE PREMIER DES DISPOSITIONS GENERALES CHAPITRE I DE L’OBJET, DU CHAMP D’APPLICATION ET DU REGIME FONCIER Article 1 er : Le présent code a pour objet de déterminer les règles et les principes fondamentaux applicables en matières foncière et domaniale et de régir l’organisation et le fonctionnement du régime foncier et domanial en République du Bénin. Article 2 : Les dispositions du présent code sont applicables au régime des différents droits réels. Article 3 : Les dispositions du présent code s’appliquent aux domaines public et privé de l’Etat et des collectivités territoriales, aux biens immobiliers des personnes privées, à l’organisation et au fonctionnement du régime foncier et domanial en République du Bénin. Article 4 : Le régime foncier en vigueur en République du Bénin est celui de la confirmation de droits fonciers déterminé par les dispositions du titre III du présent code. Il régit l’ensemble des terres rurales, périurbaines et urbaines et repose sur une procédure contradictoire de confirmation des droits fonciers qui débouche sur la délivrance d’un Certificat de propriété foncière. Cette procédure de confirmation de droits fonciers est axée : - en milieu urbain et périurbain, sur la confirmation de droits à partir de documents de présomption de propriété foncière ou d’une décision de justice définitive ; - en milieu rural, sur la confirmation de droits à partir de documents de présomption de propriété foncière, du registre des ayants droit du plan foncier rural ou d’une décision de justice définitive.

ANNOUNCING NATIONAL ERNIE PYLE DAY CELEBRATION

Bloomington, IN —The Ernie Pyle Legacy Foundation created National Ernie Pyle Day and the

United States Senate agreed to a resolution proposed by Indiana Senators Todd Young and Joe

Donnelly designating August 3, 2018 as National Ernie Pyle Day. To commemorate this day the

Ernie Pyle Legacy Foundation has organized a celebration that will take place at Franklin Hall

on the Indiana University campus in Bloomington.

The celebration, open to the public, will begin at 10 am, and will include recognition of special

guests and speakers. The key note speaker will be Joseph Galloway, Journalist and prominent

war correspondent who began with four tours in Vietnam, the Gulf War, the Haiti Incursion, and

then two tours in Iraq. Co-author Of We Were Soldiers Once.. and Young which was made into a

movie. All military veterans are encouraged to attend. At 12 noon, those in attendance will

adjourn outdoors for a reception and light lunch and gather at the statue of Ernie Pyle. The

statue’s sculptor, Tuck Langland, will deliver remarks about his approach to creating the Pyle

statue. The American Legion will post the colors with a salute to all Veterans.

Immediately following the reception, a performance by Ronald May, in character as Ernie Pyle

will be presented in Franklin Hall. This presentation will provide a perspective on Pyle’s

relationship with soldiers during WW II and as a correspondent creating reports that meant so

much to Americans at home.

National Ernie Pyle Day has the support of many groups, especially the Ernie Pyle WWII

Museum, the IU Media School and the Foundation’s new partners, the National Society of

Newspaper Columnists and the Scripps Howard Foundation. 5-10-2018
