Physical EducationCertified Teachers delivering PE. Recess time does not count toward Physical Education.

• K-3: 120 minutes per week; 5 days per week.

• Grades 4 – 6: 120 minutes per week; 3 days per week.

• Grades 7 – 12: 50% of school year must include PE course; Equivalent class period.

Goals:• Complete BOE Wellness Policy Revision by the 2015-16

School Year

• Include Wellness Information and Updates on the TST BOCES web-site

• Complete Annual Assessment of Wellness Initiatives. Pre-test has been completed

• Increase PE time so that all students receive required amounts

• Increasing opportunities for physical activities throughout the school day

• Ensure that Nutrition Education is implemented throughout a student’s entire academic career

• Research Health curriculum for students with lower ability levels
