Introduction The Young Uttarakhand is a Non - Governmental organization registered under all India society act bearing Regd. No 59759 Aims & Objectives:
The Aims and Objectives for which the Young Uttarakhand Society is established are as under:
i) To bring together all Uttarakhandis living in the different part of India and abroad by
means of all forms of communications viz media, internet, and to encourage and foster
the ideal of social service in them for the people and the State of Uttarakhand.
ii) To promote advancement of knowledge on economic, social, political and other subjects
of interest and benefit to the people of Uttarakhand and for that purpose to arrange or
organize conferences, seminars, meetings and debates and to issue and publish
journals, pamphlets, periodicals, books, monographs, reviews, papers and other organs.
iii) To assist in improving the economic, vocational and professional standards of the
Students of Uttarakhand by providing Scholarships, prizes, Career Guidance /
Counseling classes & Study Material, General Study material, libraries and reading
rooms and other facilities to the students of Uttarakhand.
iv) To organize, establish, maintain, or assist schools, colleges and other institutions with
the object of imparting education and career guidance to the people and also hostels for
the benefits of the students.
v) To organize, provide, establish and maintain funds for the needy people of Uttarakhand
and for the purpose to provide stipends, scholarships, doles and other assistance with a
view to improving their economic social and educational status.
vi) To spread awareness among the People of Uttarakhand and the masses against
various social, economical, political and other issues faced by the people and State of
Uttarakhand and to raise voice against such issues by means of filing Public Interest
Litigations in Courts, organizing Community awareness programmes and by adopting
such other remedial measures.
vii) To establish assist or support and maintain institutions for providing education or
maintenance of orphans, widows, senior citizens and rehabilitation of physically
challenged people.

viii) To organize and to assist physically as well as financially other organisations in
organizing, from time to time, cultural events in different part of India so as to promote
the culture, traditions and festivals of the State of Uttarakhand.
ix) To do perform and undertake such other charitable objectives as may be considered
necessary to be of general public utility and benefit.
x) To promote economic, social, moral and cultural activities beneficial to the Uttarakhandi
Community.

The Annual General Meeting of the members of the Young Uttarakhand Society will be held on 4th August 2013 at 3. 00 p. m. at Garhwal Bhawan, Jhandewalan, New Delhi to transact the following business:
1. To read & confirm the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting
2. To adopt Annual Report for the year ended 31/03/2013
3. To deliberate on questions and proposals arising out of the Report and the
Accounts.
4. To deliberate on upcoming project “relief camps”.
5. To deliberate on upcoming project “Career guidance camps”
6. To deliberate on “YUCA 2014”
7. Membership renewal and new membership
8. To Consider any other matter that may be brought up with the permission of the
chair

If the quorum is not present at the scheduled time of the meeting then the
meeting will be withheld for half-an-hour and then the meeting will proceed
which will have no binding of quorum.

Membership Following new members were enrolled during the year. Ordinary members - 12 We once again request all the Ordinary Members to renew their membership for every Calendar year latest by 31st December or become a life member.

7 Career Guidance Camp | Young Uttarakhand
Activities during the year 2012-2013.
Career Guidance Camp
Kweralla, Almora Uttarakhand A Career Guidance Camp successfully conducted at GIC Kwerala Dist. Almora Uttarakhand on 2
nd Day of February, 2013. Shri Joginder Rawat approached Young Uttarakahnd to conduct a
Career awareness program in his inter college about career awareness in high education as well as right guidance in career in different fields. Young Uttarakand visited the school with below professional lecturers and 3 team members. They interact with students and provide valuable tips for future study and career options in different field.

Team interacted with Teachers and parents and discussed about the current scenario of education and career options. Young Uttarakhand awarded 3 students with appreciation trophy and participation certificates who qualified General Knowledge and current affairs quiz competition. Young Uttarakhand also awarded 5 economically poor but brilliant students with scholarship under the scholarship scheme.

10 Ukhimath Disaster Relief Camp | Young Uttarakhand
Ukhimath Disaster Relief Camp
Okhimath relief camp was concluded by the society as a joint effort with Uttarakhand Yug Manch successfully on 21st November 2012. The relief team distributed quilt and mattress to affected families. The team was comprised of following people:- 1. Shrimati Geeta Chandola 2. Shri Brij Mohan Upreti 3. Shri Dharampal Kumain 4. Shri Dondiyal 5. 11 Career Guidance Camp | Young Uttarakhand
Career Guidance Camp
SuraiDang, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand A Career Guidance Camp successfully conducted at GIC SuraiDang Dist. Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand on 22
nd Day of December 2012. Our Member Shri Vinod Jetudi has approached
Young Uttarakahnd to conduct a Career awareness program in his village inter college about career awareness in high education as well as right guidance in career in different fields. Young Uttarakand visited the school with below professional lecturers and 5 team members. They interact with students and provide valuable tips for future study and career options in different field.

13 YU Falgun Mahotsav (Kavi Sammelan) | Young Uttarakhand
Young Uttarakhand Cine Awards 2012 Young Uttarakhand Cine Awards which is adjudged as an unique and innovative step towards promoting the Cine and Music Industry and giving due recognition to the artists of cine Industry who are promoting our culture and language through films and music throughout the region. This year the event organized at FICCI Auditorium New Delhi on 7
th April 2012 with support or
sponsors Value First Pvt Ltd and Damodar Hari Foundation. A cine artist has been awarded in 17 categories or their incredible contribution in cinema & music for the year 2011. Shri Jeet Singh Negi with Legendry Singer of Uttarakhand and Shri Chadra Singh Rahi awarded with Life Time Achievement award 2012. Artist from Uttarakhand performed culatural activities in front of 2000+ audiences. The details about these functions can be found at official website www.yucineawards.com too. Total expenses of the event was Rs. 5, 72,740.00

& Declaration of YUCA 2013 Nominations
Young Uttarakhand Falgun Mahotsav – Kavi Sammelan was organized by the society on 2th March 2013 at N D Tiwari Bhawan, New Delhi. More than 12 following poets of Garhwali, Kumaoni and Hindi contributed the creations in the function. The nominations for the YUCA 2013 were announced at the second session of this function. All the Jury members and sponsors were present in the function. Total Expense was 24,550.

CONCLUSION:
As the programs conducted during the year 2012-2013 are much beneficial for the rural areas and for the needy students, culture and language and artist who deserved the appreciation.
