Receptions and Dinners

With the warm breezes blowing in off the ocean, you will enjoy a cool, classic interpretation of a Florida party during the Cool by the Pool tropical party. Enjoy the evening and test your skills by participating in interactive activities including the Carmen Miranda Hip Toss Game and Ladder Golf. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Kevin Case Tropical Band. Kevin is an energetic performer who sings music for dancing and listening with selections ranging from Calypso to Reggae, Soca & Latin styles as well as Pop, Rock, Jazz and Country.

First Time Attendees will be introduced at the Welcome Reception/Dinner!

Buses will depart from the Golf Resort to the Beach Resort every 15 minutes starting at 6:00 PM. Return transportation from the Beach Resort to the Golf Resort will begin at 8:30 PM. Buses will run every 15 minutes with the final bus departing at 9:45 PM.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Private Stock. The band has been performing together for over 12 years and has entertained at corporate events all over the world. Private Stock creates a spontaneous show charged with positive energy. Their music is versatile and their song list never ending. IF YOU REQUEST IT, THEY CAN PLAY IT!

(The President’s Reception and Dinner are adult events. Children over the age of 15 are invited to attend. Child Care Services are available through the hotel concierge.)

Jet Ski with the Dolphins

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2013

12:00 PM - 4:00 PMCost: $150 per person

Enjoy a quiet, smooth, relaxing tour aboard a 53-foot sailing catamaran. There is plenty of room to walk around - including inside and outside seating. When you set sail, you will depart from the Naples City Dock and head out to Key Island (7 mile circumference) where you pull up onto a 3 mile long stretch of beach on Mid Island. This island is home to beautiful sandy white beaches and provides a haven of tranquility away from vendors and shops. It’s the perfect stop for shelling, swimming and relaxing.

With a sandy beach bottom, the catamaran is able to beach itself right on the island, providing an easy transfer from the boat to the beach. Depending on the tides that day, you may get wet from ankle to thigh deep.

Get ready to have fun and get wet! Feel the exhilaration as you throttle up your Jet Ski on this fun adventure. The 2-hour long private, guided Jet Ski tour will take you through the intracoastal, vast mangrove jungle, and around the many islands that dot the coast line. During the tour, there is a good chance of seeing schools of dolphins up close. These majestic creatures make regular appearances not far from shore.

Jet Skis will be broken up into smaller groups per guide for safety and to increase tour enjoyment. During the tour, driver and passenger will switch riding positions so each has a turn handling the Jet Ski. All groups will depart and return together and will be riding near each other during the tour. No prior Jet Ski experience is necessary as Jet Skis are fairly intuitive and easy to drive. An orientation and safety briefing will be held to acquaint guests with the equipment.

Edison and Ford Winter Estates11:45 AM - 4:00 PMCost: $90 per person

This private Estates Tour is led by enthusiastic docents. You will visit the Edison main house along with the guest and caretaker’s homes on the property. You will also tour the Ford Estate and the Edison Botanic Research Lab. The Estates Tour offers guests an opportunity to step back in time to “Old Florida” and learn more about the world through unique, historical, scientific and cultural experiences.

Thomas Edison purchased the property and built his vacation home in 1887. It served as his winter retreat until his death in 1931. Henry Ford purchased the adjacent property and built the craftsman style bungalow in 1916. In 1947, Mrs. Edison deeded the property to the City of Fort Myers in memory of her husband for the enjoyment of the public. In 1988, the adjoining Henry Ford Estate was purchased and opened for public tours.

Build-A-Bear Donation to Children’s Hospital of SW Florida9:00 AM - 3:00 PMBring joy to children in need of a smile! Your day begins with transportation to the local Build-A-Bear store at Estero Mall to create as many loving bears as you are able to with your allotted Bear Bucks. Once you are finished bringing life to your bear by outfitting it with clothes and accessories, you will be on your own for lunch at the mall.

Immediately following lunch, you will be driven to the Golisano Outpatient Facility, which provides care for children with cancer, kidney failure, and developmental abnormalities, as well as other special cases. After a tour of the facility, you will personally present your bears to the children!

Golf and Tennis Information

AMCA invites you to participate in the Annual Mixed Tennis Tournament.

Tournament Date: Saturday, October 19, 2013

Tournament Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Tournament Fee: $60.00 per person includes court fees, tennis pro, racquet rentals, balls and bottled water

Tournament Location: Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort Tennis Courts

Join your fellow AMCA members for lunch in the hotel’s Court of Palms before heading out to the courts. Lunch service begins at 12:30 PM.

Join your fellow AMCA members in the Court of Palms for lunch starting at 12:30 PM. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon at the Golf Resort or take the complimentary shuttle service to the Beach Resort for a relaxing afternoon on the beach.

Tennis Information

Golf InformationAMCA invites all men and women to participate in the Annual Golf Tournament. Golfers will be paired in foursomes with players of like ability - no team events.

The golf tournament will be played at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort on the Black Course. This 7,005 yard Greg Norman designed course has been home of PGA Tour and National Shootout. Players have the choice of five tee boxes per hole to make the experience challenging for all skill levels. A full service practice area, with chipping and putting greens, is available.

Tournament Date: Saturday, October 19, 2013

Fee: $130.00 per person includes green fees, shared cart, practice facilities, gratuities, box lunch and bottled water.

Tournament Location: Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort - Black Course

Semi Shotgun Start: 12:45 PM (Depending on the final number of players, shotgun format may change to individual tee times.)

Dress Code: Standard Dress CodeBermuda length shorts, shirts with collars.Denim and cargo shorts are not allowed.

Handicap: Maximum handicap for men is 36 and for women 40.Please include your handicap on the AMCA registration form.

Complimentary Shuttle ServiceThe complimentary hotel shuttle runs once per hour to the Ritz-Carlton Beach Resort. Shuttles operate daily beginning at 7:30 AM. The last shuttle runs at 9:30 PM Sunday - Thursday and 10:30 PM Friday and Saturday. Times are subject to change, so please check the Ritz-Carlton transportation schedule.

Guests have signing privileges at both the Ritz-Carlton Golf and Beach Resorts. For security purposes, you will be asked to show a photo ID and guest room key.

Travel and Transportation Three major airports service the Naples/Ft. Myers area:n Southwest Florida International Airport-Ft. Myers (RSW) is 25 miles from the hotel - 40 minutesn Ft. Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) is 130 miles from the hotel - 1.5 - 2 hoursn Miami International Airport (MIA) is 150 miles from the hotel - 2.5 - 3 hours
