Annual Report 2016
3
2015 IN REVIEW
What another amazing season we have had over the past year. It’s difficult to know where to begin The Lord
has been good to us as we have discovered new ways to serve him in the community and around the world.
Thank you for being a part of what God is doing through this faith community in Willowdale, Toronto, and
beyond!
Each year, as our Leadership Team begins to plan and prepare for our Annual General Meeting, our prayer is that
you will see this event, and this document in particular, as much more than just an accounting of what took place
financially in the previous year. Our hope is that report will serve to reflect a part of what God has accomplished
in our midst. The many souls that have been touched... the many families who have been blessed... and the lives
that have been forever changed through the ministry and efforts of this community of faith—Willowdale Pentecostal
Church.
2014 saw us successfully launch our first VISION 2020 GTA Site —WillowRidge Chapel and in 2015 we were
able to help a new GLOBAL work in partnership with NEXT LEVEL INTERNATIONAL and Emmanuel Church, Castel-
lammare (Naples), Italy. We thank God for the open door and praise Him for the opportunity to be part of initiat-
ing this flourishing new disciple making community across the Atlantic.
In Fall 2014 we witnessed the launch of “Generation 8—Iranian Pentecostal Church”. By the end of 2015, Rev.
Bijan Elijah and his team had decided that it would be best to move back into ‘home meetings’ as they continue to
work to establish a Spirit-filled, ’new wineskins’ community that will reach out to the estimated 50,000 Farsi speak-
ing people in the GTA.
Water baptisms, Spirit baptism, weddings, baby dedications, are all encouraging signs of a healthy and growing
disciple making community. Finances are another vital sign, and financially, we are encouraged by the continuing
upward trend in “General Tithes & Offerings”. These resources will not only allow us to cover all our financial
commitments, but allow us to continue implementing our VISION 2020 initiative to see more disciple making com-
munities started in the year ahead, both in the GTA and around the GLOBE!
For details about how we handle finances, how we make decisions, or to see a copy of the financial statements
prepared by our accountants—NORTON McMULLEN LLP, please let us know. Our desire is to honour financial
supporters of Willowdale Church with access to whatever they need to be assured of the integrity with which we
manage God’s resources entrusted to us.
Please take some time to review this report and join me in expressing praise and thanksgiving to God for all he has
done...is doing... and will continue to do in 2016 and beyond!
