Neuraminidase inhibitors
Oseltamivir (Tamiflu) and zanamivir(Relenza) are indicated for the
treatment of acute illness due toinfluenza types A and B. Oseltamivir is given orally and
zanamivir via inhalation; both willshorten duration of illness if takenwithin 48 hrs of symptom onset.
