Taking New Ground

As you consider the New Ground you want to take this year, what comes to mind...

What you need the most? What is in the way? What needs to go? For me personally, I need courageous obedience to the enlightened will of God in response to the many “opportunities” that are presently before me:

Many Fresh Start invitations at home and abroad... The Lord is blessing Fresh Start For All Nations more than ever... It's truly God's FAVOR! My mother's health issues... Mom has just started another round of chemo treatments for cancer... Her side effects to the chemo treatments have been very challenging. Our daughter's March Wedding... Joy and Kappes are planning to marry March 11... We couldn't be more excited, and are so thankful to see the fruition of many years of prayer!

When it comes to courageous obedience, I am inspired by the book of Joshua… "Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:6-9 NLT Speaking for myself, what I need the most is "the mind of the Lord" on many things. I desperately need enlightenment or simply stated, I need HIS LIGHT! “I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him..." Ephesians 1:18-19 NLT As I face these opportunities in the areas of marriage, family and ministry, i don't want to be guilty of compartmentalizing, but rather I want to see it simply as how I do LIFE!

So, as I lead Mindy and our family, and as I lead Fresh Start For All Nations with courageous obedience, it is my desire to experience the mind of the Lord in how to join Him in what

He is doing. My prayer is to be enlightened by the Holy Spirit and to experience HIS HEART and HIS POWER!
