The walled garden at CarnfunnockCountry Park was originally the kitchengarden of Cairncastle Lodge. It includesa flower garden, butterfly garden,scented walkway, herbaceous borders,unique sundials, and a hornbeammaze in the shape of Northern Ireland.Enjoy snacks and lunches within itsonsite café, alongside fabulous country

Dating from the 18th century thiswalled garden is a historical hiddendelight. Following restoration comp-leted in 2005 the garden now boastsplanting schemes by CatherineFitzgerald. Welcome to theAntrim Garden TrailIt’s not all rugged coastal beauty, myths of giants,glens and golf in Antrim - this little part of NorthernIreland is awash with fabulous gardens.
The terraces of the first ornamental garden in Irelandare still visible at Dunluce Castle near the Giant’sCauseway. Other early gardens include GlenarmCastle Walled Garden, Benvarden Garden, AntrimCastle Gardens and Greenmount’s Walled Garden.County Antrim also boasts gorgeous BallyrobertGardens, Kilcoan Gardens and Carnfunnock WalledGarden.
The Antrim Garden Trail includes some of the mostdistinguished public and private gardens whosediscovery will be the highlight of many a garden touror afternoon out.
Some of the gardens are open to the public withspecific opening days and times, while others areopen by appointment. All the information relatingto opening times, contact details and locations forthe gardens can be accessed on antrimgardens.comor please contact the gardens by telephone.
