How to!
Step 1:
- Poppy templates
What is provided (for printing at home):
What you will need:- Printer and paper- Scissors- Any type of glue or tape- Red Textas or colouring pencils- Zip ties- Blue tack
Choose whether to make a small, medium, or large poppy from the templates. Print on red paper, or colour the petals red once printed.
Step 2:Cut out six of the petals, making sure to also cut along the dotted lines.
Step 3:Apply glue to one side of the dotted line on the petal. Overlap the tabs and stick together. Try not to overlap too much or the poppy will look closed. Repeat this process for six petals.
Step 4:Glue four of the petals together to make the base of the poppy.
Step 5:Take the last two petals and stick them within the first four.
Step 6: Step 7:Feed your zip tie through itself to make a knot at one end. Then feed the zip tie through the hole you have made in the poppy.
Place a ball of blue tack underneath the centre of your poppy, use the end of your scissors or a pencil to carefully pierce through the paper to the blue tack.
Step 8:Display your poppy and let it blow in the breeze!
