Safety Reminder:
Students can enter the building at 7:35 for either breakfast or books.
Students are dismissed at 3:10 and need to have a consistent plan so they can be
safely on their way shortly after dismissal.

AtBellevuePublicSchoolswearededicatedtoprovidingasafeandsecurelearningenvironmentforallofyourchildrenandourstudents.However,bullyinghasbecomeaseriouschallengeacrosstheNation.Recentstudieshaveshownthatover1in5studentsfeelunsafeatschoolduetodirectorobservedteasing,threats,bullying,andotherstressors.
Webelieveinpartneringwithourparentstocombattheseuncomfortableandunsafesituations,becausethesesituationscanariseanywhere–atschool,afterschool,athomeandevenonline–andcanhavelastingimpactsonthelearningenvironmentandourcommunity.Wemustworktogethertotakeimmediateactionsandhelpourstudents.
BellevuePublicSchoolshasimplementedaweb-basedincidentreportingtoolcalledTIPS.TIPSisacomprehensiveplatformforreporting,trackinganddocumentingincidentsandconcerns.TIPSempowerstudents,parents,teachersandcommunitymemberstobeheardandtoanonymouslyreportwarningsignsandtrouble.ThegoalofTIPSispreventionandtohelpidentifyredflagsandwarningsignsbeforeanincidentoccursorescalates.
