Turkish Wind Energy Association (TWEA) which was established by the Council of Ministers on 10 February 1992 and with 92/2752 number, is a non-profit association works in coordination with Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (MENR), Turkish Electricity Transmission Company (TEİAŞ) and Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).

In the field of wind energy in Turkey. TÜREB is the umbrella organization, covers the entire value chain and takes an active role in all legislation related to the wind sector.

The 14th Board of Management acceded in the last general assembly held in March 2019.

TWEA, member of Wind Europe and Global Wind Energy Council, is the most powerful non-governmental organization in Turkey.
