SEAS Picnic August 16th

Anointing of the Sick Healing Mass Mass will be held on Thursday, August 3

rd at 7 p.m. at

Holy Trinity Church. Fr. David Bellittiere and the Friends of St. Peregrine cordially invite those afflicted with cancer or in need of special healing to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick at this healing Mass. For further information, call 716-283-0011 or visit http://www.stperry.org.

Special Second Collection Next Weekend Next Sunday there will be a second collection for the Medical Care of Retired Diocesan Priests. There are now 128 such priests who either live on their own or in a diocesan retirement home. Bishop Malone, with his advisors, has determined that a dedicated fund is necessary to ensure the security of their future medical benefits. In addition, a total of 7% of funds earned through the Upon This Rock campaign will also go toward this need. We all have fond memories of a retired priest who may have baptized our children, heard our confessions, or assisted in time of crisis or sickness. Next weekend you will be invited to respond to their medical needs in retirement. Note that this is not the same as the annual collection taken up in December for retired members of religious orders. Thank you for your generosity.

75th Birthday of Fr. John Kuhlmann Many will remember Fr. John Kuhlmann who served in the parish and as hospital chaplain for many years. Fr. John will celebrate his seventy-fifth birthday on August 1

Parenting Perspective. When speaking to your kids (or anyone) consider this proverb: “It is better to leave angry words unspoken than to try to mend a heart broken by those words.”
