About EADG, Inc.
Letter from MOH
Ministry of Health Ethio-American Doctors Group Ethiopian Society of OB/GYN
Welcome
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Ethio-American Doctors Group, Inc. (EADG),
we would like to welcome you to this continuing medical
education program, “Current Issues in Medicine and Surgery:
Update 2018”. This program is made possible through
unwavering support from many friends and colleagues in
Ethiopia and abroad. We would like to extend special thanks
and appreciation to the Federal Ministry of Health, Office for
Continuous Professional Development.
At this conference, the theme is broad. We have focused on
updates in the areas of medicine, pediatrics, surgery, and
Ob/Gyn. In addition to high-quality presentations by experts,
we hope that this will provide a great opportunity for
networking between physicians practicing in Ethiopia and
those who live abroad; provide an opportunity for the young
professionals to identify mentors; reconnect friends and
acquaintances; and of course to learn from each other’s
experiences to take better care of our patients. We encourage
all attendees to share ideas, develop plans for collaboration,
and continue to foster friendship.
In advance, we would like to thank all of the speakers and
moderators for their time and willingness to share their
knowledge. We would also like to thank all of you for
attending this course and supporting our efforts; and we
encourage you to provide feedback so we can improve
future programs. We look forward to a discussion at the
closing of the program as we seek to create continuous
professional development programs through
collaboration. We seek to establish an annual program
with the participation of the FMOH and medical
professionals such as yourself. We believe these education
exchanges will lead to further clinical training, joint
research activities, and studies that will advance the
interest and health equity of the Ethiopian population.
Thank you,
Course Directors
