Virtue of the MonthSeptember= Prayer

Prayer ought to be humble, fervent, resigned, persevering and accompanied

with great reverence. One should consider that he stands in the presence of a God, and speaks with a Lord before whom the Angels

tremble from awe and fear.---St. Mary Magdalen de' Pazzi

Prayer well made gives much pleasure to the Angels, and therefore it is much

assisted by them; it gives great displeasure to the devils, and therefore is much persecuted and disturbed by them.

--St. John Chrysostom

The Knights of Columbus teamed up with the St. Stanislaus Troops of St. George, using their woodworking skills to construct a wheelchair ramp for a disabled girl and her family here in South Bend on Saturday, August 25th. Lumber, screws, concrete, and material was generously donated by Mark Wilson, general manager of Menards in South Bend, also a Knight of Columbus, Council #8617. Special thanks to Deputy Grand Knight Michael Slaninka and Chancellor Ted Ellis for all their hard work, fundraising efforts, and organization of this charitable and worthy activity! The Dulik family is extremely grateful for the ramp! God rewards those who give of themselves. More photos on the council website.
