Parish Mission Statement
We, the community of St. John Neumann, desire to guide all souls
toward God. This we accomplish by evangelizing through our
ministries. Our liturgical celebrations center around the
Eucharist.
Our Vision We seek to become a spiritual home where God’s love
for us and our love for Him abounds freely and within an
atmos-phere of brotherhood and good will.

are on the 4th Thursday of each month with Deacon Gerardo Morales.

prior to registering for the class or for an appointment with
Father.
Weddings Arrangements need to be made with the pastor 6 months
in advance.

baby or child be-comes restless, is speaking loudly or is noisy
during the Mass...please take them outside to the hallway or to the
Chapel.

FAITH FORMATION NEWS
Our Lady of Guadalupe Mass We will be celebrating the Mass in
honor of Our Lady of Gua-dalupe on the 12th of December at 7 p.m.
There will be a ma-tachines dance, performed by the Faith Formation
students and a play of Our Lady of Guadalupe performed by the Youth
Group students.
Last day of class for this semester
The last day of classes for this semester is Tuesday, Decem-ber
18th. On this day the students will be dismissed early at 7:30 p.m.
Please be on time to pick up your children.
Las Posadas
The Youth Group and the Faith Formation students will be
celebrating Las Posadas in our parish on Wednesday, Decem-ber 19th
at 6:30 p.m. If you are interested in donating a bag of candy to
use in the posada bags, please bring it to Miss Rodriguez’ office
from now until Tuesday, December 18th. Thanks.
Required Sacramental Meetings If you have not attended the two
Sacramental meetings re-quired for this year, the dates are as
follows: Saturday, Janu-ary 12th and Saturday, February 16th. These
meetings start at 10:00 A.M. and end at Noon.

Misa en honor de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Estaremos
celebrando la Misa en honor de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe el
miércoles, 12 de diciembre a las 7 p.m. Los alumnos de la Formacion
en La Fé haran la danza de los matachines y los alumnus del grupo
juvenil haran el cuadro dramático de las apariciónes de Nuestra
Señora de Guada-lupe. Las Posadas El grupo juvenile y los alumnus
de la Formacion en La Fé esta-ran celebrando las posadas el
miércoles, 19 de diciembre a las 6:30 p.m. Si esta interesado en
donar una bolsa de dulces para las bolsitas de las posadas, por
favor traigala a la oficina de la Srita. Rodriguez de hoy hasta el
martes, 18 de diciem-bre. Gracias

There will be NO Altar Flowers placed during ADVENT.
THE FOUR WEEKS OF ADVENT
During the first two weeks of Advent we light the first two
purple
candles. The Third Sunday of Advent is called Gaudete
(Rejoice) Sunday. On this day we celebrate that our waiting
for
the birth of Jesus on Christmas day is almost over. Rose is
a
liturgical color that is used to signify joy, so we light the
single
pink candle on the third Sunday of Advent. Then on the
fourth
Sunday of Advent, the final purple candle is lit to mark the
final
week of prayer and penance as we wait expectantly for the
soon-coming birth of the King of Kings.
