Challenging times …. Also for Technical Information (LCI)
Need for reduction in “tailored” LCI requirements
Industry standards - common 3D awareness and requirements.
Need for “Smarter LCI requirements”
3D is traditional looked upon as a project tool for the contractors and not a value
asset for the o/o. How can we as a industry changes this?
Focus on 3D both as a “LCI deliverable” & as a “Project development tools”.
Increase the “3D digital asset value” and to replace traditional LCI deliverables with
3D deliverable.
Replace drawings with graphical reports extracted from 3D when needed
Status and progress measurements (Transparent)
o/o design review’s
Design interoperability - Fabrication friendliness - Design functionality
Increased collaboration tool (Visualisation)
Awareness to 3D usage outside the tradition “Project Development Sphere”
Increased use of 3D on a “Management Level”
The owner/operator challenge - Final thoughts…
