Dear Friends,

This Sunday is the 4th

Sunday of Easter and also Mother’s Day.

Please come and join us in worship as we worship God and study

Super Woman (Yes, she is in the Bible!) I would also like to share

with you one of my favorite poems about the love of a Mother by

Helen Steiner Rice:

A Mother's Love

A Mother's love is something

that no one can explain.

It is made of deep devotion

and of sacrifice and pain,

It is endless and unselfish

and enduring come what may.

For nothing can destroy it

or take that love away. .

It is patient and forgiving

when all others are forsaking.

And it never fails or falters

even though the heart is breaking

It believes beyond believing

when the world around condemns.

And it glows with all the beauty

of the rarest, brightest gems

It is far beyond defining,

it defies all explanation,

And it still remains a secret

like the mysteries of creation

A many splendored miracle

we cannot understand,

And another wondrous evidence

of God's tender guiding hand.

See you Sunday! Yours in Christ,

Ron

Dine with Nine Friday, May 17.

At 6:30 we will congregate in the parlor for dessert, hoping

Miss Gimmpy gets on the ball, there will be a rum cake plus

another choice.

Then at 7:00 we will go to the sanctuary for a film of one of

Jeanne Robertson's programs of humor.

It is rare to hear a comedian and professional speaker who

delivers a program of side splitting humor which is never

off color.

come along.

Hold the date. We would
