They have been taught everything that is in stark contrast to the Word of God. You are invited to hear three young women who have not bought into the lie of the culture. Instead, they have learned, and are learning, to be discerning in a day when everything seems to go against God’s design. They are rare but they are real. GraceAnna Castleberry will hold a short talk on reading the Bible - because now it’s rare, but it’s where our true strength comes from...the Word. Maureen Broggi will talk about suffering and about the importance of knowing and believing who God is through all of it. Also, about knowing who we are in Christ. If we’re not grounded when the storms come, we will easily be blown away and left in a pile of rubble. Chesed Broggi will share about being “counter-culturally small”...investing in the home, the church, and the local community - instead of always seeking to maximize one’s reach and potential. She will also touch on prayerful dependence on the Lord. The Rare but Real conference will be held at the Beaufort campus, Friday evening, September 25 th from 6:30-8:30. Please register at communitybiblechurch.us/real. In the registration process, you will have an opportunity to ask questions of Maureen, Chesed and/or GraceAnna. If you’ve already registered, but thought of more questions, submit them to Claudia Gay at [email protected]. If you are unable to attend in person, you will be able to watch via live stream.

1 SUNDAY, AUGUST 30, 2020 “HE IS EXALTED” He is exalted, the King is exalted on high, I will praise Him. He is exalted, forever exalted, and I will praise His Name! He is the Lord, forever His truth shall reign. Heaven and earth rejoice in His holy name. He is exalted, the King is exalted on high! He is exalted, the King is exalted on high, I will praise Him. He is exalted, forever exalted, and I will praise His Name! He is the Lord, forever His truth shall reign. Heaven and earth rejoice in His holy name. He is exalted, the King is exalted on high! He is exalted, the King is exalted on high! “O FOR A THOUSAND TONGUES TO SING” O for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer’s praise, the glories of my God and King, the triumphs of His grace! My gracious Master and my God, assist me to proclaim, to spread through all the earth abroad, the honors of Thy name. Jesus! the name that calms our fears, that bids our sorrows cease, 'tis music in the sinner’s ears, 'tis life and health and peace. He breaks the power of canceled sin, He sets the pris’ner free, His blood can make the foulest clean, His blood availed for me. His blood can make the foulest clean, His blood availed for me.

2 “AND CAN IT BE?”

And can it be that I should gain an int’rest in the Savior’s blood? Died He for me, who caused His pain, for me, who Him to death pursued? Amazing love! How can it be that Thou, my God shouldst die for me?

(Chorus) Amazing love! How can it be that Thou, my God shouldst die for me!

Long my imprisoned spirit lay fast bound in sin and nature’s night. Thine eye diffused a quick’ning ray, I woke, the dungeon flamed with light! My chains fell off, my heart was free, I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

(Chorus) Amazing love! How can it be that Thou, my God shouldst die for me!

No condemnation now I dread, Jesus, and all in Him is mine! Alive in Him, my living Head, and clothed in righteousness divine. Bold I approach th’eternal throne, and claim the crown, thru Christ my own.

(Chorus) Amazing love! How can it be that Thou, my God shouldst die for me!

“ALL I HAVE IS CHRIST”

I once was lost in darkest night, yet thought I knew the way. The sin that promised joy and life had led me to the grave. I had no hope that You would own a rebel to Your will, and if You had not loved me first, I would refuse You still.

But as I ran my hell-bound race, indifferent to the cost, You looked upon my helpless state and led me to the cross. And I beheld God’s love displayed, You suffered in my place. You bore the wrath reserved for me, now all I know is grace.

(Chorus) Hallelujah! All I have is Christ. Hallelujah! Jesus is my life.

Now Lord I would be Yours alone, and live so all might see the strength to follow Your commands could never come from me. Oh Father use my ransomed life in any way You choose, Oh Father use my ransomed life in any way You choose, and let my song forever be, "My only boast is You."

(Chorus) Hallelujah! All I have is Christ. Hallelujah! Jesus is my life. Hallelujah! All I have is Christ. Hallelujah! Jesus is my life.

3 “MAY THE PEOPLES PRAISE YOU” You have called us out of darkest night, into Your glorious light, that we may sing the wonders of the risen Christ. May our every breath retell the grace that broke into our strife with boundless love and deepest joy, with endless life. (Chorus) May the peoples praise You, let the nations be glad. All Your blessing comes that we may praise, may praise the Name of Jesus. All the earth is Yours and all within each harvest is Your own, and from Your hand we give to You, to make Christ known. May the seeds of mercy grow in us for those who have not heard, may songs of praise build lives of grace to spread Your Word. (Chorus) May the peoples praise You, let the nations be glad. All Your blessing comes that we may praise, may praise the Name of Jesus. This our holy privilege to declare Your praises and Your name to every nation, tribe and tongue, Your church proclaims. (Chorus) May the peoples praise You, let the nations be glad. All Your blessing comes that we may praise, may praise the Name of Jesus. Holy, holy is the Lord Almighty, worthy, worthy is the Lamb Who was slain. Holy, holy is the Lord Almighty, all creation praise Your glorious Name. (Chorus) May the peoples praise You, let the nations be glad. All Your blessing comes that we may praise, may praise the Name of Jesus. May the peoples praise You, let the nations be glad. All Your blessing comes that we may praise, may praise the Name of Jesus!

4 “CHRIST THE SURE AND STEADY ANCHOR”

Christ the sure and steady anchor in the fury of the storm, when the winds of doubt blow through me and my sails have all been torn, in the suff’ring, in the sorrow, when my sinking hopes are few, I will hold fast to the anchor, it shall never be removed.

Christ the sure and steady anchor while the tempest rages on, when temptation claims the battle and it seems the night has won, deeper still then goes the anchor, though I justly stand accused, I will hold fast to the anchor, it shall never be removed.

Christ the sure and steady anchor through the floods of unbelief, hopeless somehow, O my soul, now, lift your eyes to Calvary. This my ballast of assurance, see His love forever proved. I will hold fast to the anchor, it shall never be removed.

Christ the sure and steady anchor as we face the wave of death, when these trials give way to glory, as we draw our final breath, we will cross that great horizon, clouds behind and life secure, and the calm will be the better, for the storms that we endure.

Christ the shore of our salvation, ever faithful, ever true, we will hold fast to the anchor, it shall never be removed.

INVITATION “THERE IS A FOUNTAIN”

There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Immanuel’s veins, and sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains, lose all their guilty stains, lose all their guilty stains, and sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains.

The dying thief rejoiced to see that fountain in his day, and there may I, though vile as he, wash all my sins away, wash all my sins away, wash all my sins away, and there may I, though vile as he, wash all my sins away.

Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood shall never lose its pow’r, till all the ransomed Church of God be saved to sin no more, be saved to sin no more, be saved to sin no more. till all the ransomed Church of God be saved to sin no more.

E’re since by faith I saw the stream Thy flowing wounds supply, redeeming love has been my theme and shall be till I die, and shall be till I die, and shall be till I die, redeeming love has been my theme and shall be till I die.

When this poor lisping, stamm’ring tongue lies silent in the grave, then in a nobler, sweeter song I’ll sing Thy pow’r to save, I’ll sing Thy pow’r to save, I’ll sing Thy pow’r to save, then in a nobler, sweeter song I’ll sing Thy pow’r to save.
