Upcoming Social Scene Election

A Message from the 2019 Nominating Committee of the Social Scene: The President of the Social Scene, Frank Bagnall, will end his term in September 2019 at the Annual General Meeting. Frank has dedicated himself as President of the Social Scene for the past seven years. A Nominating Committee has been formed and is searching for members of the Social Scene to run as candidates for President in the September election. Volunteer Opportunities

Check out these current volunteer opportunities:

The Fashion Show - This year, the Fashion Show is being held on both Saturday, June 22nd and

Sunday, June 23rd. There are many opportunities for you to get involved in this

major fundraising event. Check out the sign-up sheet posted on the Club bulletin

board. Volunteer for the Saturday, Sunday or both days!

Office Assistant - Still looking for someone to help with creating a new layout design for our

website, assistance with the newsletters, paperwork, distribution and misc. office

projects. You can create your own schedule, once or twice a week/month.

Whenever you are available.

Bingo Canteen - We have lots of openings for the month of May. Come join the canteen crew

Friday evenings from 5-9pm, involves providing a tasty treat and selling canteen

items before Bingo & during intermission. While you are at it...come try your luck

at a game or two and take a chance at winning one of our big jackpot prizes!

Canteen training will be provided.

Christmas Hamper Committee - We are already planning for this upcoming Christmas Season!

There are 3 vacant positions available. They are: manage food shopping, gift

shopping, and secretary. These positions require a commitment for 4 months of

the year from September to December just before Xmas. This entails 3 meetings

before Xmas and 1 in January, and your assigned job during this time. For more

information, please contact Heather Dionne.

Kitchen Co-ordinator - Starting in September, this position takes the lead for our kitchen to

run smoothly, ensures the grocery lists are maintained & updated, as well as

provides some general cleaning.
