PRAYER TARGET July 2020 “To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory(Colossians 1:27). Saturday, July 18 – Years ago FEBC made the decision to offer Gospel broadcasts in ethnic languages, because people respond best to the Good News in their “heart” language. “Your program had very interesting songs in my native style. They were all about God and faith and worship. I had never heard this before in my mother tongue. I want to tell you that hearing about Jesus in my language was awesome! He is now my Jesus and I walk with Him every day! Thank you.” Pray for many more to respond to His call. Sunday, July 19 – Please pray for our teams in Mongolia. Pray for opportunities to bring the comforting words of Jesus and His message of hope to this nation of 3 million. Long held in the grip of atheism due to the influence of the former Soviet Union, Mongolians are now responding to the gift of salvation, especially younger generations. Monday, July 20 – A listener in South Korea writes: “My family and I were exposed to the amazing grace of God and His unfailing love in the midst of the pandemic thanks to FEBC radio. FEBC is truly precious and so valuable to us simply because it provided us with hope and a special opportunity to worship in the midst of a difficult situation. Praise God for FEBC and its great ministry!” Pray that all those who tuned into FEBC programs looking for hope and peace found it through Jesus Christ. Tuesday, July 21 – Pray for our programs in India that reach vast numbers of people, even those in Tibetan monasteries. Pray that the seeds sown will bear much fruit and change countless lives. Wednesday, July 22 – Pray for the church in Pakistan that relies on FEBC’s teaching to communicate God’s Word. Pray for the encouragement of Christians there and for opportunities to share their faith. Thursday, July 23 – Pray for persecuted believers in Vietnam; many who practice ancestor worship know there is something different about believers. Pray for courage as they face oppression. Friday, July 24 – Praise God for the many Gospel Speaker Boxes distributed through FEBC’s ministry in India. These devices play a selection of evangelistic programs and worship music. Pray for the people who oversee the hubs where the Speaker Boxes are distributed. Pray they will stay connected to listeners during these challenging days. “Your program about COVID-19 was very informative. Thank you for taking care of us at this crucial time.” Listener in Pakistan Saturday, July 25 – Please pray for our stations in the Philippines who are looking to add new skilled team members to help broadcast the message of Christ. Sunday, July 26 – Pray for Melusi and his team in Zimbabwe. Pray for the radio ministry to fulfil God’s mandate to share the Gospel. Pray for critically needed resources to support day-to-day operations. Pray for people to not only hear the Gospel, but receive it. Pray that their radio programs will be a source of comfort and healing to a divided country. Monday, July 27 – Our team in Taiwan asks for prayer. There is a great need for the saving message of the Gospel to penetrate fear that is so prevalent in the world today. Please pray that our programs will provide hope for our listeners and they will come to know the source of that hope.
