Days between the end of the course material and the AP exam will generally be spent working and correcting free-response questions from prior examinations. Additionally multiple-choice questions from released examinations will also be studied.

One or two weekends before the beginning of AP examinations (i.e., either April 28-29 or May 5-6, 2012) I will conduct a “boot camp” at one of the Engineering buildings at UCLA. Students choosing to attend will spend about six hours each day working on exam style problems from an exam preparation book. The cost to the student is negligible consisting only of transportation and/or parking ($10) and lunch (eaten as a group at UCLA's food court). Other materials will be provided at no cost to the students.

After the AP examination, we will continue our study of Statistics, covering subjects not encountered on the above syllabus (such as Nonparametric methods, Bayesian analysis, Multiple Regression, or another topic), or possibly examining some previously covered material in more depth. In the past, students had worked on various projects, but frankly I never really received a completed project which demonstrated a significant intellectual or work effort. The course final exam in June will cover the material taught after the AP examination.
