The Advanced Placement® Summer Institute (APSI) is administered by UTSA Extended Education and endorsed by the Southwestern Region of the College Board. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of instruction in a professional environment, and to prepare educators to guide students toward a successful college experience! We work diligently to bring together AP College Board certified consultants and teachers from around the world to attend the APSI.

Extended Education is now in its ninth year conducting the AP Summer Institute. In those years, we have welcomed thousands of educators who are passionate about their profession. We are proud to serve as a learning destination for the educational leaders of our youth.

In 2017, the UTSA APSI held twenty-five courses and welcomed over 500 educators during the two summer sessions. The quality of UTSA’s APSI and the spirit of the beautiful city of San Antonio attracted participants from across the globe: teachers from as far away as France, China and Korea were in attendance.

Extended Education serves regional adult, professional and continuing education needs through a range of targeted programs that match the university’s unique resources with the lifelong learning needs of South Central Texas. Our dedicated staff is here to help you through all registration processes, support for your classes and to answer questions about your experience.
