01. Logo
This logo must be used at all times from May 2010 until December 2010 inclusive in all APC publications, banners, etc.

02. Basic elements
To create a visual identity commemorating APC’s 20th anniversary, we decided to respect the main graphic elements of the standard APC logo to ensu-re an economy of visual resources and rapid identi-fication, by maintaining the APC logotype and chan-ging the isotype or icon. We also added a new colour to the APC palette that will be used this year only.
We increased the size of the “shell” icon, to reflect the growth of the APC network and its impact.
Each element has been coloured with one of the APC colours to reflect a sense of festivity and celebration.
The inner spiral has been replaced with the number 20 in black serif typeface to reflect APC’s experience and solidity.
The APC logotype has been left black to keep it neutral and for overall visual balance.

07. Isolation area
There is a clear area surrounding the logo, esta-blished to maintain its integrity. No other graphic elements should appear within the isolation area around the logo indicated by the red line, which is situated the same distance from the outline of the logo as a whole as the distance between the isotype (icon) and APC logotype (x).

08. Institutional applications
In institutional applications, the logo must always appear on a white background, to ensure that it stands out as much as possible and that the colours are fully appreciated.

09. Coloured backgrounds
When applying the logo over a coloured background, there must be a white box behind. The box must follow the isolation area specified on page 9.

10. Colour specifications Colour is an essential part of a mark. It must always be applied in the same tones and patterns. The APC logo has two pattern colours, blue and yellow. On the right, the diffe-rent colour specifications are specified. These formulas are an important guide, but by themselves they do not ensure that the final printing will match the desired tones and patterns. Whenever possible, a colour sample should be given to printers to match. Also try to choose pantone inks which vary much less.
