DESCRIPTIONRecurrent respiratory papilloma is a very frustrating disease for both physicians and patients. The overall approach to care of patients with papilloma has not changed since the disease was !rst recognized, with focus on surgical debridement of the papilloma whenever it grows large enough to interfere with airway or voice. Though surgery provides temporary relief of symptoms, it is expected that the disease will return and will bring with it need for further surgery. With these repeated surgeries comes the risk of cumulative scar tissue of the vocal cords and concern of reduced laryngeal function. Fortunately, both clinical and research advances in recurrent respiratory papilloma herald the promise of less-frequent surgery and improved clinical outcomes. The Updates in Recurrent Respiratory Papilloma: Clinical and Research Perspectives CME course will provide a learning opportunity where participants can discuss current state-of-the-art advances in treatment of papilloma, including the role of photoangiolytic lasers, o"ce-based treatments, and adjuvant therapies. A forum for exchange of research advances such as vaccine therapy and immunologic treatment for papilloma will allow participants to discuss the future of papilloma care.

WHO SHOULD ATTENDThis activity is intended for local, regional, and national otolaryngologists, pediatricians, infectious disease experts, and other physicians and allied health professionals with an interest in recurrent respiratory papilloma.

OBJECTIVESAfter attending this activity, the participant will demonstrate the ability to:
