Sattaria (Tari) Dilks, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FAANP APNA President’s Address: Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurses: Proud Partners on the Journey to Whole Health Thursday, 11:30am-12:30pm

Sattaria (Tari) Dilks is a professor of nursing at McNeese State University and co-coordinator of McNeese’s Master of Science in Nursing programs. She is also director of the psychiatric/mental health track for the Intercollegiate Consortium for a Master of Science in Nursing partnership involving McNeese, Nicholls State University, Southeastern Louisiana University and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Tari obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee, her Master of Science in Nursing and her Master of Arts from McNeese, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Texas State University. She is a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, family nurse practitioner, and licensed professional counselor in Louisiana. In her President’s Address, Tari will explore the mul-tifaceted nature of nursing and champion the unique role of psychiatric-mental health nurses. Celebrate the partnerships PMH nurses form with patients and see the ways PMH nurses can impact the future of care.

Kelley Johnson, RN, FNP-C Keynote Presentation: Why We Chose Nursing and How Nursing Continues to Choose Us Friday, 11:30am-12:30pm

Kelley Johnson is a Registered Nurse, nursing advocate, public speaker, and the most recent former Miss California USA. Previously, she repre-sented the Miss Colorado Organization across the nation as Miss Colorado 2015. Kelley is remem-bered for her nursing monologue performance in 2015 that led to the famous "Doctor's Stethoscope" comment on the television show The View and the #NursesUnite campaign ignited across America. Kelley graduated Summa Cum Laude from Nursing School at Grand View University, where she was also Valedictorian. Last May, Kelley graduated as a Family Nurse Practitioner. The past three years for Nurse Kelley have included appearances on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Dr. Oz, The Doctors, E News, Inside Edition, and vari-ous other television, radio, and over 80 speaking engagements across our country where Kelley has consistently represented and advocated for the profession of nursing on a national level. Currently, Kelley lives and works out of Los Angeles as the Chief Nurse Advocate for Wanderly, a travel nursing technology company. Kelley is also the National Spokeswoman for Careismatic Brands, and continues to host and emcee television shows and pageants across America.

Research into psychedelic assisted psychotherapy, using MDMA (PTSD) or psilocybin (depression), was recently given breakthrough drug therapy status by the FDA. Post-Traumatic Growth Among Nurses: What are Influencing Factors? RN APRN Examining posttraumatic growth (PTG) can yield insight to constructively understand and approach trauma among nurses. Data was ana-lyzed from 299 nursing staff on traumatic experi-ences and resulting PTG. Work-place trauma resulted in the lowest PTG scores among other trauma experiences. Site-specific interventions to support PTG among nurses should be explored.
