App Inventor challenge 2015 Introduction: We are working alongside other schools in our schools ‘pyramid’ to promote e-safety through the ‘App Inventor challenge’. The challenge is to come up with an idea for a mobile app that will help us to stay safe when we are using the internet. Once we have chosen the winning app idea/s from our school, children at Lytchett Secondary School will then create the app and publish it for download from the Google Play store! The details: Deadline: Monday 9th March 2015 Your task: Come up with an idea for a mobile app which promotes e-safety The outcome: You need to produce a poster or presentation to explain your idea Think about: The name of the app, the layout, a colour scheme, the target
audience - education or fun Examples of what you can do: Your app can include text / images / video / sound Your app can have a maximum of 4 screens Here are a few ideas to get you started:
• Create a quiz about e-safety • Think of a simple game to promote e-safety • Produce an information based app • Design a character or logo to be part of the app
