staf{ members is actual ly an Architect by trade. Fle has become arr invaluable resource worlcing

closely with the designing f irm for our new bLri lding.

ln early 1lrne, staff from the Archives of Ontario lrad the opporLunity to visi t the Yorl< University

campus. Seeirrg the aciual location of our future hotre was very excit ing - to l<now that in less

house can seem overwhelming, carr yor-r irragirre movirrg the docurnentary history of a prov-

irrce? Well, that is exactly r,vlrat tlre staff of the Archives of Orrtario has to do.

lrr fact, plans are already underway for preparing to move many of the 53,000 containers,

folders arrcl volumes of archival records presently onsite at the Archives of Ontario's current

locatiorr at 77 Grenville Street. Here is a bre.rlcdown of some of the iterns that will be moved

in this rnassive task:

- 28,000 unpublished volumes

- 200,000 architectural drawings

WHEREAS the Donor is the owner of property hereinafter described;

AND WHEREAS the Donor wishes to donate and the Archives wishes to receive suchproperty on and subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement;

AND WHEREAS the Archives is authorized by the Archives and Recordkeeping Act(S.O.2006, Chap. 34, Sched. A) to acquire by gift, bequest, purchase or otherwise, materialbelonging to or having a bearing on the history of the Province of Ontario and may byagreement with the Donor place such restrictions on the use of the material as may bestipulated in the Agreement.

NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the respective covenants and agreementscontained in this Agreement and for other good and valuable consideration (the receiptand sufficiency of which is mutually acknowledged), the parties covenant and agree asfollows:

There are no restrictions. The material in this fonds shall be available for public researchand examination, and may be photocopied without the consent of the Association.
