Notice is hereby given in terms of regulation 41, as published in the Government Gazette No 982 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) regulations of the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA) No 107 of 1998 (as amended), for the intent to undertake a Basic Assessment. EOH Coastal & Environmental Services has been appointed by Ukomeleza Wind Power (Pty) Ltd to apply for environmental authorisation for the following Listed Activities in GN R 983 and GN R 985, which are triggered by the proposed project: GN R 983, 11 (i): The development of facilities or infrastructure for the transmission and distribution of electricity… GN R 983, 19 (i): … the dredging, excavation, removal or moving of soil, sand, shells, shell grit, pebbles or rock of more than 5 cubic metres from (i) a watercourse GN R 983, 27: The clearance of an area of 1 hectares or more... GN R 985, 12 (a) (ii): The clearance of an area of 300 square metres or more of indigenous vegetation… The Draft Basic Assessment Report (DBAR) is available for review from the 25

th of October 2016

until the 24th of November 2016. Copies of the DBAR will be available for review at the following

APPENDIX E3: COMMENTS AND RESPONSES REPORT No comments received to date. All comments and responses will be included in the Final Basic Assessment Report. APPENDIX E4: AUTHORITY PARTICIPATION Notification Sent on 28 June 2016:

The notification email was sent to all relevant organs of state including DEDEAT, DWS, NMBM, SAHRA, ECPHRA, Eskom, SANParks and SKA. The Background Information Document (Appendix E2) was included as an attachment to this email notification. No comments have been received to date. An additional notification announcing the availability of the Draft Basic Assessment Report for public review will be sent to all I&APs on 24 October 2016. Proof of the notification and all comments received will be included in the Final Basic Assessment Report. APPENDIX E5: REGISTERED I&APs No I&APs have requested to be registered to date. Any I&APs who register during the review period of the Draft Basic Assessment Report will be included in the Final Basic Assessment Report. A full list of the current I&APs is included in Appendix E7. APPENDIX E6: CORRESPONDENCE AND MINUTES OF ANY MEETINGS No meetings have been required to date.
