Baptism This Weekend at Apple Valley Catholic Collaborative
We welcome a new member to our Chris-tian community in the sacrament of bap-tism: Bailey Robert Doddrell, son of Steven and Sarah Doddrell.
Please join us in holding Bailey, his parents and godparents in prayer as they continue
to grow in faith together.
Corpus Christi Mission Trip
We are sending 74 participants to Corpus Christi, Texas from June 23 through
June 29.
Please pray for them and the
people they will be serving.
Dear Father, Empower these people to be your hands and feet. By their actions and words, make them witnesses of your great love and your passion to all they meet. May they be true ambassadors for Christ through their ac-tions both on and off their work sites. Please protect them, teach them and sup-port them as they take this journey. Fill them with the Holy Spirit as they faithfully and joyfully minister to the people in Tex-as. And so Father, we ask that you bless the mission project, the team members and leaders, those they serve and the team member’s families back home. Amen.
This Week’s Second Collection Promoting the Gospel supports Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) and the Catholic Communication Campaign (CCC). Through the work of CCHD and CCC the Gospel is promoted by supporting those in poverty, providing grants to community based groups and using the entire array of media tools available today to evangelize and promote Gospel values. For more information about these organi-zations, please visit: w w w . u s c c b . o r g / c c h d a n d www.usccb.org/catholicgiving/ opportu-nities-for-giving/catholiccommunication- campaign/index.cfm While this collection supports national efforts, a portion of the proceeds are designated for local CCHD grants and parish communication efforts.

Looking for New Altar Servers, Grades 5-10
Attention all youth grades 5- 10: How would you like to find a way to get more out of Mass, serve your community and have fun at the same time? It’s easy! Become an altar server! The Altar Server Ministry in the col-laborative is in need of new servers for all Masses. Youth entering grades 5 -10 are en-couraged to join and begin training to serve in this very important ministry for our par-ish. We often hear from current servers that it brings a new perspective on Mass and is an enjoyable, fun ministry. The commitment in-cludes a 2-hr training session plus training Masses where you are mentored by seasoned servers and then the commitment to serve, usually at least once per month. If you are interested in learning more or join-ing the ministry, please contact (or have a parent contact) the coordinators for the spe-cific parish you may be interested in serving and they can provide more details.

Apple Valley Catholic Collaborative Garden
Last weekend the collaborative garden was planted; we have a variety of tomatoes, cu-cumbers, squash, peppers, beans and herbs and we are grateful to all who donat-ed seedlings. A big thank you to all who helped prepare and plant the vegetable seedlings, you did a fantastic job and we could not have done this without your help. As we move through the growing season lots of help is still needed to main-tain our new garden (weeding, harvesting, dropping off vegetables at local food pan-tries). If you would like to help out but have not yet signed up please call (978-897-2710) or email Robin in the office ([email protected]) so we can get you on our volunteer list.
