WELCOME
Welcome to Appleton Lodge, our new luxury care home adjacent to Gavin Astor House. This state of the art facility opened in August 2019, and provides 15 new individual rooms.
So many people want to feel at home, but also need to feel that they are cared for (without putting pressure on their families). We at RBLI know this, we don’t want the feeling of a clinical environment around us, we all wish to be well cared for. So everything about our new home is warm and welcoming, just like being at home, but safer and with lovely people around us.
We have a dining room and lounge opening onto a landscaped garden and a lovely woodland walk. We have private terraces for all ground floor bedrooms.
With the newly built 15 bed state-of-the-art facility, this is just the beginning of an exciting new project to include the full upgrade of Gavin Astor House, to offer the very best experience in care.
Our new home, offering nursing care, will twin with Gavin Astor House. When the refurbishment of Gavin Astor House is complete, we will be able to deliver a full range of high-end Dementia and Nursing care complete with good dining experiences, laundry and of course individualised care to meet people’s needs.

MEET THE TEAM
Belinda has worked in the direct care sector for the past 22 years and has a wide breadth of experience in operational management of nursing, dementia and residential care homes within the private and charitable sectors.
She has previously worked at Registered Home Manager and Regional Manager level, and has gained extensive skills in the commercial elements of care provision, as well as in commissioning new homes. Belinda also has experience in care home regulation having spent time working in Local Authority Compliance.
Jane has been working at Gavin Astor House for 18 years and she still loves coming to work.
Jane is responsible for supporting all new residents to settle in and feel at home.
She is thrilled to welcome all new residents and families and is very committed to building new and existing relationships.
