  Apart from lectures in the class room, the institute will use Microsoft Office SharePoint server

for online guides to the students.

  The faculty uses SharePoint server to upload the study material such as pdf file, E-books etc. to

the students.

  With SharePoint servers the faculties creates blog and discussion forum related to the subjects

to enhance the interest of the students in their related subjects

2.  Interactive whiteboard

An interactive whiteboard (IWB), is a large interactive display that connects to

a computer and projector. A projector projects the computer's desktop onto the board's surface where

users control the computer using a pen, finger, stylus, or other device. The board is typically mounted to

a wall or floor stand.

Uses for interactive whiteboards may include:

a)  Running software that is loaded onto the connected PC, such as a web browsers or proprietary

software used in the classroom.

b)  Capturing and saving notes written on a whiteboard to the connected PC

c)  Capturing notes written on a graphics tablet connected to the whiteboard

d)  Online whiteboard[5]

e)  Controlling the PC from the white board using click and drag, markup which annotates

a program or presentation

f)  Using OCR software to translate cursive writing on a graphics tablet into text

g)  Using an Audience Response System so that presenters can poll a classroom audience or

conduct quizzes, capturing feedback onto the whiteboard

I.  Microsoft Project 2010

Microsoft Project (MSP, MSOP or WinProj) is a project management software program developed and

sold by Microsoft which is designed to assist project managers in developing plans, 

assigning resources to tasks, tracking progress, managing budgets and analyzing workloads.

Various uses of MS Project 2010 are:

a) project development and analysis,

b) creation of critical path schedules

c) critical chain and event chain methodology

d) report auditing

Microsoft Project Web Access, through SQL database access, online updates, and the ability to share

information with users such as timesheets, resource workloads, and admin tools & Whether to make a

website or manage a marketing campaign, MS Project is an essential tool for tens of thousands of 

people on a daily basis.

II.  Rational ROSE ROSE - Rational Object Oriented Software Engineering

Rational Rose is a set of visual modeling tools for development of object oriented software. Rose uses

the UML to provide graphical methods for non-programmers wanting to model business processes as

well as programmers modeling application logic. This facilitates use of the Unified Modeling Language

(UML), Component Object Modeling (COM), Object Modeling Technique (OMT), and Booch ‘93 method

for visual modeling. Modeling can be useful at any point in the application development process.

I.   Anagram: Stop Cutting and Pasting

II.  PureText: Paste Unformatted Text 

Find yourself “referencing” Wikipedia in your PowerPoint presentation? If so, you may have noticed that

annoying links and formatting get copied over when all you wanted is the text. PureText is a tiny, neatliitle app which allows you to paste text into another application, without getting all the formatting from

the original source. PureText is easy to use, simply use WINDOWS+V instead of Ctrl+V.

accessed through an slick, easy-to-use interface.

IV.  Snag-It: Create Cool Screen Shots

I have used SnagIt for all the cool screen shots in this post. Yes, I know you can capture screen elements

with PrintScreen, but PrintScreen is to SnagIt what pre-made sandwiches are to In-n-Out burgers. SnagIt

lets you grab images of Web sites and software applications. Editing tools allow you to circle important

areas, and add arrows and text with a single click. You even can capture video and record screen action.

V.  NX PowerLite: Tiny PowerPoint File

NXPowerLite is a great little app .NXPowerLite optimizes Powerpoint documents – crunches

presentations from several MBs down to a hundred KB or so, with minimal data warp. Works great for

emailing a large project to your group.

VI.  Picasa: Photos

Simply put, it’s the best and most fun way to organize and share photos on your computer. 

VII.  Mozy : Easy Online Backup

Sure you may own a backup hard drive, but when was the last time you actually used it? Mozy doesn’t

require any external hard drive, it automatically and securely backs up your system to a secure and

private online backup whenever you turn on your computer.

solution that has recently emerged in the network security industry and since 2004, has gained
