  • About the company Game is a retail game selling business located all over England selling a wide variety of video games, consoles and accessorises for XBOX, PlayStation, Nintendo and PC.

  • Company History The company was founded as the Rhino Group by Terry Norris and Bev Ripley in 1991. A number of mergers followed during the 1990s, and in 1999 the company was purchased by Electronics Boutique Limited, which rebranded itself as The Game Group. The company continued to expand during the 2000s, purchasing several retailers including Gameswizards in Australia.

  • Job Description Give information about the features, quality and availability of different products. Help customers find products they are looking for in the shop. When necessary, be able to give in-depth technical advice about products. Handle the payment for any purchases. Arrange orders and deliveries of stock for customers. Advise the customer of information relating to their purchase, such as its warranty or how to look after it. Make the customer aware of any special offers. Make sure that all stock is on display.

  • Hours and pay. On average a sales assistant earns about 6 an hour. Salaries for junior and trainee sales assistants are 9,000 - 13,000 a year, reaching 11,000 - 15,000 once you are more experienced. Sales managers can earn up to 24,000 a year. A full-time position is typically between 35 and 40 hours a week.

  • What is a cover letter? A cover letter is a letter that you send in with your CV and application form when you apply for a job, this letter should clearly state why you want the job and why they should employ you. Top tip: it should never be more than one page long

  • Clothes you do and dont wear to an interview What you wear In an interview you need to wear mature clothing such as; Suits, Trousers, Skirts and so on. You wear these types of clothes for a reason, so u look ready and sleek. What you dont wear For an interview you dont wear clothes that look scruffy, like; Trainers, hoodies and so on. You dont wear these because you look immature and that you dont care if u get the job or not.

  • Sales. As you can see, Game sold a lot more in November, December and January. Mainly because it is the Christmas period and people buy them for Christmas presents and when they have money afterwards.
