APPOINTMENT OF STAFF ON DEPUTATION & ENGAGEMENT OF
CONTRACTUAL STAFF ON SHORT TERM CONTRACT BASIS
Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) is a Society under the administrative controlof Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Govt. of India. SFAC is implementing the
Central Sector Schemes of Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India. The objective of the Scheme is to
facilitate this process by aggressively promoting agribusiness projects through its project
Development Facility and Venture Capital Assistance Schemes, establishing forward and backward
linkages with farmers, providing assured market to their produce thereby generating rural
employment and enhancing farmers income. Department of Agriculture and Cooperating has also
assigned additional works relating to the promotion and development of Farmer Producer
Organization (FPOs) across the country under the National Vegetable Initiative and Integrated
Development of 60,000 villages under Pulses Programme.
Applications are invited from eligible and suitable officers for filling up of various posts of
Deputy General Manager (Legal), Deputy Director(PDF), Field Officer, Legal Officer, Estate Officer,
& Private Secretary on deputation basis. The pay of the officer selected for appointment on
deputation basis will be regulated in terms of DOPTs O.M. No.2/29/91-Estt. (Pay.II), dated
05.01.1994 and its subsequent orders issued from time to time. The location of posts will be SFAC
Head Quarter, New Delhi. The details of post, eligibility conditions etc. are given as under:-
1. Deputy General Manager (Legal) 01 (one) post (including short term contract)Pay Scale of Rs.42,000 -46,800/-
Officers of the Reserve Bank of India/ National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development/State Bank of India/ Nationalized Public Sector Banks, possessing the following qualifications:
(i) holding analogous post on regular basis; or with five years regular service in a post not
below the rank of Assistant General Manager (Legal) in RBI/ NABARD/ SBI/
Nationalized Public Sector Banks or equivalent; and
(ii) minimum ten (10) years experience in the banking sector out of which at least five
(05) years should be in Companies Law, Legal and Arbitration matters.
2. Deputy Director (Project Development Facility) 02 (two) postsPay Band-3, Rs.15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs.6,600/-
Officers of Central/State Govts./ Central/State Autonomous Bodies/ Public Sector
Undertakings possessing the following qualifications :
(i) Holding analogous post on regular basis; or with five years regular service in a post
in the Pay Band-3, Rs.15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5,400/- or equivalent; and
(ii) Minimum ten (10) years experience out of which at least five (05) years should be in
appraisal, financing, monitoring, execution etc. of projects preferably in agri-business/
agro-processing/ agro-marketing/ agro-allied projects.

3. Field Officer-01(one) postPay Band (PB-2) Rs.9,300-34,800/- with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/- (Vacancy 01)

Undertakings possessing the following qualifications:
Holding analogous post on regular basis; or with three (03) years regular service in a post in
the Pay Band-2, Rs.9,300-34,800/- with Grade Pay of Rs.4,200/- or equivalent with minimum
three (03) years experience in appraisal, financing, monitoring, execution etc. of
agribusiness/agro-processing/agro-marketing/agro-allied projects.
4. Legal Officer-01(one) postPay Band (PB-2) Rs.9,300-34,800/- with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/-
Officials of Central/State Govts./Central/State Autonomous Bodies/ Public Sector
Undertakings possessing the following qualifications:
Holding analogous post on regular basis; or with three (03) years regular service in a post in
the Pay Band-2, Rs.9,300-34,800/- with Grade Pay of Rs.4,200/- or equivalent with minimum
three (03) years experience in dealing with matters under Companies Law and arbitration.
5. Estate Officer-01(one) postPay Band (PB-2) Rs.9,300-34,800/- with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/-
Officers of Central/State Govts./ Central/State Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertakings
possessing the following qualifications:
Holding analogous post on regular basis; or with three years regular service in a post in Pay
Band-2, Rs.9,300-34,800/- with Grade Pay of Rs.4,200/- or equivalent with minimum three
(03) years experience in maintaining office premises.
6. Private Secretary-01(one) postPay Band (PB-2) Rs.9,300-34,800/- with Grade Pay of Rs.4200/-
Officials of Central/State Govts./ Central/State Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertakingspossessing the following qualifications:
Holding analogous post on regular basis; or with five years regular service in a post in the PayBand-1, Rs. 5,200-20,200/- with Grade Pay of Rs.2400/- or equivalent with minimum five (05)
years experience in English Shorthand with a speed of 100 w.p.m., English Typing Speed of 40w.p.m. and working knowledge of computer applications in MS Office, Excel, Internet, E-mailetc.

Applications of only such officers/candidates will be considered as are routed through proper channel
and are accompanied with (i) Bio data as in the proforma given (Annexure-I) (ii) Attested
photocopies of ACRs for the last five years (ACRs to be attested by an officer not below the rank of
Under Secretary) (iii) Vigilance clearance/Integrity Certificate and (iv) Statement giving details of
major or minor penalties imposed on the officer, if any, during the last 10 years.
It is, therefore, requested that the applications of suitable and eligible officers and who can be spared
immediately in the event of selection may be sent directly to the Managing Director, SFAC with a
period of 60 days from the date of issue/publishing of this advertisement. The Consortium reserves
the right to short-list the candidates based on qualifications, experience and suitability.

For implementation of Venture Capital Assistance Scheme (VCAS)/Horticulture Mission for NorthEast and Himalyan States (HMNEH), SFAC requires suitable persons on contract basis for a period ofsix month which can be extended/ curtailed, depending on the Schemes/allocation of funds. The
number of posts may be increased or decreased. The contractual appointments can be terminated by
the Competent Authority without assigning any reasons whatsoever, by giving prior one months
