ProLeiTA driver of success in a changing world

ProLeiT is an internationally recognised company based in Herzogenaurach, Germany. We develop automation solu-tions for the process engineering indus-try. The production plants of renowned companies are controlled by our process control systems. In short: we ensure, for instance, that your favourite foods and drinks taste like they are supposed to.

Every year we therefore look for out- of-the-box thinkers, problem solvers and pioneering individuals who, together, create a winning combination. At ProLeiT you will be working in a dynamic en-vironment with the opportunity to get involved in real projects right from the start and thus contribute to the success of the business. with some of the information you need about what we do and how you can be-come part of the ProLeiT family.

The company was established in 1986 by the managing directors Wolfgang Ebster and Manfred Czepl. The former engineering service company is now a global software firm, employing over 380 „ProLeiTers“ – and we continue to grow and expand! A philosophy that is also demonstrated by the construction of a new office complex in Herzogenaurach in 2016. This will give us the space we need for continued and healthy expan-sion – also for our apprentices and our student trainees.

Subsidiaries in ten different countries bolster the company‘s international mar-

ket presence both geographically and in terms of language and understand-ing. The countries highlighted blue on the map of the world (right) are where production facilities equipped with our software can be found.

Your vocational training takes place at our headquarters in Herzogenaurach. And seeing as we implement projects around the world, you may also have the opportunity to travel in connection with ProLeiT business while complet-ing your training. It is therefore impor-tant that you also enjoy travelling and experiencing new things!

Process control technology –What is that actually?

Controlling processes – is what we do best. And what we will continue to do every single day.

Our process control systems ensure that your favourite yoghurt will continue to taste as delicious as it always has, your bread always has exactly the same ingredients and your milk has a longer shelf life.

All these products are manufactured in so-called process engineering plants. These include, for example, dairy facili-ties, industrial bakeries, breweries and various plants in the chemical and phar-maceutical industry. Our process control system controls appropriate production plant processes by operating pumps, valves and motors. This is referred to as process automation - and thus ex-actly what we strive to deliver. And to do so we need your help!

We are right at home in the field of pro-cess engineering. This refers to all tech-nical processes in which a product is created from a basic raw material uti-lising chemical-physical or biological processes. However, the production process is not handled manually, as all workflows are fully automated with the aid of a process control system. This control system is programmed by our IT specialists. At ProLeiT you will learn how to control and configure chemical-physical or biological processes utilis-ing your software for pumps, valves and motors. You will therefore be expected to have a certain level of natural science knowledge.

Our products

Our modular process control systems Plant iT and brewmaxx are used within production facilities for the process in-dustry around the world. The system has a modular design which facilitates plant automation. Let us take a basic valve as an example. This is installed in almost every single plant and is available in our system as a ready-to-use mod-ule. In other words, the project manager only needs to add this valve in the plant software without having to reprogram it. The only thing that remains to do is to set the valve monitoring period and its „address“ for any feedback, everything else is carried out by our control sys-tem. The valve can thus be controlled directly and provide users with system status and feedback.

Our product brewmaxx is tailored to the special demands and needs of the brewing industry. A small section of a brewery or an entire brewery can be controlled with brewmaxx – from malt delivery to bottling. Today, brewmaxx is used around the world and controls breweries with an annual output of more than 250 million hectolitres – almost one fifth of global beer production.

Our products and solutions allow our end customers to control, monitor and optimise their increasingly complex pro-duction processes. Our mechanical en-gineering customers are provided with

the tools that enable them to offer sys-tems with tailored automation concepts. Our system integrators use our products to develop reliable customer solutions with the highest level of productivity. Our software might be invisible, but it is clear to see what it is capable of. Plant iT and brewmaxx are currently used by 1600 production plants in more than 100 countries. This means we are a lead-ing provider within our core industries.

Vocational training at ProLeiT An investment in your future

There are numerous reasons to work for us

As a medium-sized company we have a flat organisational structure with very short lines of communication. Everyone has the chance to actively respond to needs with your own ideas. We offer committed employees diverse opportu-nities in interesting and dynamic fields with excellent perspectives for profes-sional and personal development both nationally and internationally. We will provide the support and training to help you develop and grow in your career.

All ProLeiT newcomers are allocated a „buddy“ to assist them in their inte-gration. Apprentices and students at ProLeiT enjoy the same benefits as all other employees. These include, for example, a drinks allowance and se-lection of fresh fruit daily. Furthermore, we offer you a subsidised canteen, a company pension scheme and free ac-cident insurance.

Because a healthy mind requires a healthy body, exercise and health-re-lated activities are an integral part of our corporate philosophy. ProLeiT therefore offers free sports courses and gives you access to a number of discounts with local fitness facilities.

We firmly believe that we are stronger together and regularly demonstrate this fact at various running events, such as the Herzoman triathlon or the Kaya Run (Lauf für Kaya). But fun and enjoyment are also high on the agenda at ProLeiT. Company events for the whole family (summer party and Christmas party) are organised regularly, and we spend an enjoyable and pleasant evening at the Erlangen Bergkirchweih and the Som-merkirchweih Herzogenaurach together every year.

The special thing about train-ing at ProLeiT: practical rele-vance and a passion for tech-nology

ProLeiT apprentices and students are given the opportunity to work on inter-national projects for renowned manu-facturers from the start. Besides theo-retical input, you will receive optimum advice, support and guidance at our various competence centres. Courses are delivered by our training team and you are given a comprehensive intro-duction to each environment.

You will additionally undertake further basic training in-house and have the chance to meet and exchange ideas with colleagues from previous years during team training events. Apprentices will attend day release at local colleges in Erlangen and Herzogenaurach, and stu-dents are enrolled at Technische Hochs-chule Georg Simon Ohm in Nuremberg.

Do you enjoy creating things and refuse to be held back by technical challenges? Then why not apply for one of ProLeiT‘s much sought-after apprenticeships or trainee positions, which we shall present below. But there is also something for those of you who remain undaunted in the face of a paper avalanche: a voca-tional training course to become a quali-fied professional in office management. Training as a qualified professional in office management

Training:

Requirements:

– Secondary school leaving certificate (commercial or busi-ness track)

– Good grades in German and English

– A previous work experience placement or a part-time job in the commercial sector are preferable

– Interest in commercial processes and enjoy office work

– Enjoy working with computers and have basic experience of MS Office

– Smart and well-groomed appearance as well as the ability to communicate effectively

– Able to work on an individual and team basis

Core parts of your training at ProLeiT:

– Purchasing/Logistics: office management processes, general administrative activities and data management

– Reception: general secretarial duties, switchboard

– Accounting: cost accounting – HR department: insight into HR duties

– Marketing: research support, event management assistance

The goal of vocational training at ProLeiT is for you to be retained by us. This means that every year – as long as the respective conditions are satisfied – we offer our trainees the prospect of pursu-ing an exciting career at ProLeiT.

Studying and working at ProLeiT –degree courses combined with practical training

The study/work programme offers you an interesting alternative to traditional higher education: You can study for a degree while completing an apprentice-ship. This kills two birds with one stone.

Compared to traditional higher educa-tion, the study/work programme thus of-fers you direct theory-practice transfer. This means you can put the theoretical knowledge gained at university into prac-tice immediately. And there are many more advantages you can benefit from:

– Financial security of a pay cheque each month

Thorough preparation before writing your application and for your job interview is the key to

maximising your chances!

A work experience placement provides you with a valuable insight into how our com-

pany works. If you are interested in starting an apprenticeship at ProLeiT, why not ap-

ply for a holiday placement first? It offers you the opportunity to find out if we are the right firm for you and whether you have picked the

right apprenticeship!

You should be actively involved in choosing your training course! If you are in any way

uncertain, you may lose motivation and interest

pretty quickly.

After receiving your application, we will check all your details and invite our future ProLeiT favourites to one of our informal interview sessions. If you have completed this stage successfully, you can demonstrate your talent during a one-week work experience placement and decide whether your choice of apprenticeship is the right one. Your future at ProLeiT could then begin quite soon.
