Approach

Our office strives for a high quality of architecture. We understand this as a singular, individual often simple solution to a complex task.

During the design process we consider the requirements of surrounding environment within a budget, timing schedule and input of involved consultants to develop a comprehensive architectural concept.

At first glance, the inner logic of all our buildings is reflected in their structure, then in their spaces, forms, materials and colours.

In this fast developing and constantly changing world, we try not to limit ourselves to short-term fashions, but to respond with modern yet appropriate architecture; combining function and intuitive design with the projects impression on its users.

Freedom, clarity, human needs, but also the surprising and fascinating aspects of architecture are ideals we seek in our design process which is also reflected in the vibrant atmosphere within our office.

Dreams, illusions and utopian philosophies are driving factors of our work, but these are balanced with the imperative of completion.

wulf architekten emerged from the architecture practice established 1987 in Stuttgart by Tobias Wulf. It has been directed since 1996 by Professor Tobias Wulf, Kai Bierich and Alexander Vohl. Since 2015 Jan-Michael Kallfaß, Ingmar Menzer and Steffen Vogt also belong to the management board. 2011 the office completely reassigned to a limited liability corporation and since then it is named wulf architekten.

The practice‘s area of work ranges from public building projects such as cultural facilities, school and university construction, office building, health care and sports projects to CI commercial buildings, housing and social housing, also for private clients.

Building within existing stock, innovative energy concepts and large-scale infrastructure projects such as exhibition halls and transport buildings have been added as further key fields in the last ten years. Increasingly international activity led to new subsidiaries - including one in Beijing, China.

Currently the company has about 100 employees, three of them being senior architects.

Beside the work in their own practice the managing partners teach and work with professional associations as well as competition jury members.

Bildern unmittelbar erlebbar.
