These fabric face masks, which contain 35 per cent viscose fibre material, are also available for sale to the public throughout Indonesia. It was especially true for a group of social entrepreneurs from the village of Juwono in Mojokerto, East Java when the pandemic and the resulting surge in demand for reusable face masks have proven to be an opportunity. The fabric masks these SMEs produced are environmentally-friendly, reusable and using natural dyes and colours from plants. They are made with natural fibre, viscose rayon produced in Indonesia, materials sponsored by Asia Pacific Rayon. For Ajis, a typical day on the job starts with a morning meeting with several department heads (HODs) about any safety concerns in their areas. Following this, Ajis conducts supervision checks to ensure safe work procedures are being followed throughout the company. The pilot will closely simulate the entire viscose manufacturing production on a much smaller scale. This lets us test new formulation and techniques quickly and efficiently, bringing new product strengths and innovations to our customers. COVID-19 and the country-wide social restrictions that come with it prevented many of us from making the usual trips to pay respect to community elders during Idul Fitri. The end of Ramadan last month is a reminder that APR has a responsibility to respond in this time of both need and celebration. On May 20 2020, RAPP and APR distributed close to 11,000 household packages (Sembako) to impacted communities in 176 villages in five regencies across Pelalawan, Siak, Kuansing, Meranti and Kampar. The packages consisted of rice, cooking oil and instant noodles, and were handed out by the Director of RAPP, Mulia Nauli, to the Deputy Regent of Pelalawan, Drs. H Zardewan M, to ensure the coordinated distribution to all households affected by this economic downturn. APR and Pan Brothers Produce Eco-Friendly Fabric Face Masks

APR  teamed up with multinational textile company PT Pan Brothers Tbk to produce reusable viscose fibre-based fabric face masks during the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic.

These fabric face masks, which contain 35 per cent viscose fibre material, are also available for sale to the public throughout Indonesia.
