CHRISM MASS will be celebrated at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19th at St. Peter Cathedral in Jackson, MS. The Mass emphasizes the unity of the priests with the Diocesan Bishop through the blessing of oils. The oils will be used in the celebration of the Sacraments throughout the diocese. Priests also renew their promises to faithfully serve God’s people. SEDER MEAL: The Seder Meal recalls the exodus of the Jewish people from Egypt. By celebrating the Seder Meal we see the connection between this ancient heritage and Christianity today. Through Jesus’s Last Supper, a Seder Meal, we can see how many elements of the Mass arose from this historic tradition. At Christ the King, we will be celebrating the Seder Meal on Monday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m. followed by a pot luck dinner. Come join us!
