DIFFERENTIATE 2 WAYS TO BOOST THE IMMUNE SYSTEM

1. Stimulate Immediate immune Function/Response

conditions, organ transplant history, or any case where immune response may

cause unwanted side effects. Essential oils do not lead to overactive immune

response in the same way.

Longer term

POST-WEBINAR ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS

• Can we use TeaTree in place of Cajeput or Niaouli?

No, it’s not in the same category. TeaTree is also a better antibacterial than anti-viral.

• Do you need a carrier oil when applying essential oils topically?

Depends on the essential oils. Some oils yes, others no ...

• What do you think is best to diffuse in clinic in general for immunity (since different patients

have different patterns)?

I suggest a blend of 2 parts Cajeput and 1part Bergamot, OR those two + 1 part Lavender

(for extra calming).

• Do the peel oils (like Mandarin) go rancid if kept in warm environment?

No, they just oxidize more quickly. Not rancid.

MORE POST-WEBINAR ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS

• Can you build a tolerance to essential oils so they become less effective over time and if so, is

it important to switch them up periodically?

In general that’s a good idea, even though it’s the body’s response that may weaken, not the

oil itself.

• Could Cedarwood be used in the pungent, woody category for long term immune health?

Not really. Atlas cedarwood is sweet-woody; it doesn’t affect the Kidney Jing like the others.

• If oils are not guaranteed pure/edible are they safe to inhale?

Yes and no, it depends on the oils.

• If we want to read Peter’s books which is the best to start with?

Aromatica 1 & 2 for the oils. Energetics 1 & 2 for the Western herbs

Page 22: April 16, 2020 - Pacific CollegeClinical Aromatherapy, The Energetics of Western Herbs Vols. 1 & 2, Jade Remedies Vols. 1 & 2, and The TCM Materia Medica Clinical Reference & Study

MORE POST-WEBINAR ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS

• Where can I find high quality oils?

Please note that this webinar is not for the purpose of promoting products, but Peter’s

company, Snow Lotus, does include essential oils information and purchase opportunities.
