This is a proposal planned by Team C. The objective of this proposal is to improve the public safety of the City of Garland. The objective will be achieved by implementing a fitness program for officers of the Garland Police Department so that they can lead a balanced and healthy lifestyle during employment. The police department expects the officers to work more efficiently for the community by participating in the fitness program.
Sincerely,
Chief Franklin Bates
A local philanthropist is willing to donate $100,000 for a “worthy cause” in the Garland Police Department.
Team C will propose how the money can be spent well keeping in mind the when and where of the project.
Team C proposes to promote public safety by promoting better health and lifestyle of officers and an on-site fitness center will be used to achieve this goal.
Studies reveal that regular exercise can help law enforcement officers stay in shape for duty, relieve stress, overall healthy and thereby ensure more public safety.

RenovationAs plumbing and other general work to renovate the basement of the police station for the purpose of using it as a fitness centre needs special qualification, a competitive bid process was used to choose contractors for that renovation work.
PersonnelLt. Callahan is going to work as Program Director of this project and so he will have to spend 20% of his work hours in the project. He will oversee the renovation project, purchase of equipment and supplies, coordinate consultant visits, and maintain logs for employee workouts. 26% employee benefits as the standard one has been included as additional benefits.
EquipmentThe cost of equipment has been calculated based on the lowest bid made by Academy Sports and Outdoors.
SuppliesRetail prices at the local superstore were taken as the basis of calculating the cost of supplies. 40 towels are calculated at $6.00 per towel, 120 bars of deodorant soap at forty cents per bar, and four 2-gallon bottles of disinfectant were calculated at $17.50 per bottle.
ConsultantsThe consultants will be charging their usual rates that are based on their professional experience and background.
