“Staatsburg Spirit Day” Art Show

“Light It Up Blue”

Linda C, the organizer of the "Staatsburg

Spirit Day" (Staatsburg, NY), has once again

asked our students to participate in her annual

art show. I gladly accepted her invitation.

This year the "Staatsburg Spirit Day" will be

held on Saturday, June 16th and the art

show will be on display at the Staatsburg

Fire House from 11:30 to 3:30.

“Young Emerging Artists” Exhibit I wanted to remind everyone to keep their calendar open for the “Young Emerging Artists”

art exhibit. Once again the students of the ACA will take part in this annual show organized by

the Dutchess Day School (Millbrook, NY).

This year’s show will be held at the Henry A. Wallace Visitor and Education Center

(F.D.R. Presidential Library and Museum—Hyde Park, NY) on April 13-14th, with an opening

reception on Friday, April 13th at 3:30-7:30PM. Hours for viewing on Saturday, April

14th are 9:00AM to 5:00PM. I hope to see you all there!!

Letters have been sent to the participants’ families informing them of this event. Thanks to

Teresa G. for her assisting with this. Thank You!

During the month of March students were

hard at work creating party themed paintings

that will be used as possible Noteworthy

Card designs.

Through the completion of this project, stu-

dents once again had the opportunity to

strengthen their painting, masking, coloring,

and collage skills.

Students will be continuing these party themed

paintings next month.
