WHEN YOU HAVE THE RIGHT VIBE, IT’S NOT A COINCIDENCESynchronicity, Energy Healing, and the Key To Transforming Our World
When it comes to how our world really operates, it may not be all about cause and effect; fundamentally, resonance may have even deeper power. In this lecture, Amy L. Lansky, PhD, former Stanford computer scientist, NASA artificial intelligence researcher, and author of the best-selling introduction to homeopathy (Impossible Cure: The Promise of Homeopathy, www.impossiblecure.com), will introduce you to material from her latest book, Active Consciousness: Awakening the Power Within, www.activeconsciousness.com. (See Judy Kitt’s review in the October 2011 FMBR newsletter.) Drawing on parallels with the phenomenon of synchronicity as well as scientifically studied aspects of mysterious fields like the psi and morphic fields, Amy will discuss how the power of energy-based healing systems like homeopathy lies in their ability to tap the power of similarity in vibration—that is, the power of resonance. This power also underlies our human ability to affect outer reality through intention. Whereas medicines like homeopathy utilize resonance in the etheric field, the power of intention utilizes the resonant power of our astral or higher energy bodies to affect our collective trajectory through higher-dimensional space. This talk will provide a fascinating and mind-bending look at Lansky’s latest work.
Amy L. Lansky, PhD (http://www.renresearch.com/) was a NASA researcher in artificial intelligence when her life was transformed by the miraculous homeopathic cure of her son’s autism. In 2003, she published Impossible Cure: The Promise of Homeopathy, now one of the best-selling introductory books on homeopathy worldwide. Since then, Lansky has broadened her investigations to include ancient and modern teachings about consciousness, psychic phenomena, medita-
tion, and our collective power to evolve and transform our world. The result is her newest book, Active Consciousness: Awakening the Power Within, published in September 2011.

imilarity in vibration has been used to explain the phenomenon of synchronicity—“coincidences” of seemingly unrelated events
that share a common meaning. A typical example of synchronicity is when the beloved clock or watch
of an individual breaks or stops at the precise mo-ment of his or her death. Another well-known i l-lustration of this phenomenon was descr ibed by psychiatrist Carl Jung, the originator of the notion of syn-chronicity. One of Jung’s patients was recounting her dream about a golden scarab beetle when he heard a rapping on the window. When he opened it, a rose chafer beetle—the in-sect most simi-lar to a scarab i n Ju n g ’s r e -gion—f lew into the room. Jung quickly put two and two togeth-er. He realized
that the mythological meaning of the scarab-an ancient Egyptian symbol for rebirth-was highly pertinent to his patient’s problems. And this was also the reason why the insect had appeared in waking life. Both of these examples of synchronicity demon-strate a key point—the universe may not be operating like a cold, meaningless machine after all. Instead, the reality we experience each day may be flooded with fields of meaning… Each field of meaning has a particular vibration to it, and objects, individuals, emotions, dreams, and events with similar vibrations
will tend to resonate with one another and then co-occur. This is what creates synchronicities… Similar ideas also underlie Jung’s notion of an ar-chetype—an idea, concept, or quality with a distinct meaning and significance, which is often represented as a mythological figure. For example, in ancient Egypt, the scarab beetle symbolized the archetype of rebirth. Other archetypes are “the warrior,” “the explorer,” “the nurturer,” and “the destroyer”—each of which is also the subject of many human myths. Rather than just being abstract concepts or ideas, however, Jung believed that archetypes actually exist and that we interact with them through dreams, the collective unconscious, and synchronicities. Greek philosopher Plato also believed in the existence of archetypes, which he called forms. Along the same lines, consciousness researcher Stuart Hameroff has proposed that qualia—the qualities or sensations of things, such the “redness” of a flower or the “equanim-ity” conveyed by a piece of art—are also vibrational patterns in the “fundamental granularity of space-time geometry that makes up the universe.” Do archetypes, forms, and qualia actually exist as fields of meaning within the zero-point, morphic, Akashic, or psi fields? And do these distinct fields of meaning interact with us through synchronicities? Think about it. There may be another fundamental mechanism at play in our universe besides cause and effect. Most of us think that everything that occurs in our world is due to some causal mechanism. A causes B causes C. However, synchronicity—the co-occurrence of events within the same field of meaning—may be another fundamental reason why things tend to happen. Many things in life that we think are due to cause-and-effect or mere coincidence may actually be due to synchronicity.

“You know, there are entire civilizations on this planet that we never kicked out of the Garden of Eden.”
A few years back, I was listening to Alberto Vil-loldo, PhD, psychologist, anthropologist and shaman. I had never heard of him at the time and didn’t know much about shamanism. But he said something that really struck me. He observed that a society’s myths inform how that society acts. Seems obvious. But then he added, “You know, there are entire civilizations on
this planet that we never kicked out of the Garden of Eden.” It was as if a gong struck inside my head. “Imagine,” he said, “how we in the West would behave if our primary creation myth was not one of rejection by the Divine, separation and punish-ment, but one of caretaking and creation. What if, for example,
we lived by a myth that stated that the creator initiated the creation of the Earth, then created humans and said to them: ‘I have started it, now you complete the creation of heaven on Earth?’” How do you think our society would be different? Myths are narratives created to help people under-stand their origin, the nature of the universe and their part in it. As we grow and learn, the stories we tell ourselves must change to reflect new understanding.
Rethinking Our Myths
VISIONS OF A UNIVERSAL HUMANITY“Without vision, the people perish... with vision we flourish.” Hidden beneath the breakdowns of modern society are breakthroughs that herald a radically new human condition. While most of these breakthroughs are small, yet vital changes, others are significant new capaci-ties that can change our lives forever. When we view these new capacities with ‘evolutionary eyes’ as the culmination of humanity’s 14 billion year journey from the Big Bang to where we are now, the design or pattern beneath the physical world that activates the continuous emergence of greater consciousness, freedom and order in the universe comes into sharper focus. In essence, we discover the hidden ‘Code of Evolution.’ In the pre-scientific era, this Code has been revealed by mystics for millennia. Western traditions have alluded to the last days and intimations of a new life after death as ‘a new heavens and a new earth; a new Jerusalem; Paradise.’ Now, in VISIONS, we make visible the mystery of the next stage of human evolution as we present the 21st century’s potential for the next stage of life based on our new spiritual, social and scientific capacities. VISIONS touches the ‘transcendent yearnings’ of life itself within us; life that when it hits a limit to its own growth either goes extinct or innovates and transforms itself as it repeatedly has done during our great 14 billion year tradition. In VISIONS, futurist Barbara Marx Hubbard will bring together some of the greatest minds of our time to reveal the potential for the next stage of human evolution, the next turn on the spiral of ‘Our Story.’ VISIONS will take us across the ‘evolutionary gap’ from here—a warring, polluting, over-populating species on the brink of self destruction, to there—a cocre-ative, universal humanity at the dawn of the first Universal Age of Conscious Evolution, a future filled with infinite possibilities.
We are accumulating and disseminating knowledge at an unprecedented rate, and we need to rethink the narrative we tell to make sense of our universe. Part of that is to re-examine ideas that have been repeated so often that they have become dogma. As we know, much of the modern scientific mindset has been stuck in a materialistic worldview, one that is so constricted that it hardly allows for discussion of phenomena that do not fit the established paradigm. Author James Curcio states “science is facing its own post-modern crisis, much as genetic science is, now that it is becoming increasingly clear that genes are more like holograms than a simple straightforward linear “code,” with one line of code saying “blue eyes,” another saying “red head.” If only it were so simple!” Many of us are happy to see this crisis, as we believe that, letting go of the established scientific dogma will lead to an era of creativity, discovery and possibility. Nearly all of our established systems and belief structures are up for re-thinking during this time of rapid change. As Science stops being a belief system and returns to being a system for inquiry, perhaps we will create a narrative that will work to inform our col-lective actions in the world, such that we can rapidly create a world that works for everyone in a just and sustainable way.
