you want to do the Daffodil Parade on
April 9th. Convertibles and coupes are

Pony News April 2016
N o more rain in the Pacific Northwest (well I
guess I need to follow up that statement with APRIL
FOOLS!)
This year is just flying by. Thank you Jerry Murphy for putting togeth-
er a great Poker Cruise. It was a great time!
Most of you know the club has the honor of escorting all of the Daffo-
dil’s “Teachers of the Year” in the parade. This is a great honor for
our club. It you have a convertible and are free on the 9th of April, we
could really use your help. We also have a group of non-convertibles
that ride further back in the parade (making lots of noise). If you have
any questions, please contact Pam Pistella or Missy Willert.
The 17th of April is National Mustang Day. Monika has planned a
great West Seattle Cruise that will include us participating in LeMay
America’s Car Museum’s celebration. Come out and support this
great cruise.

“When replacing fuses, Ford says to disconnect the negative cable of the battery before starting work. Depending
on the year of your Mustang the fuse box location will be different, on older models look for the fuse box to be
located under the dash by the drivers kick panel. Newer model Mustangs the fuse box is easier to get to, general-
ly you will find it located under the hood next to a fender, look for a rectangular box and remove the lid to access
the fuses.”
“As we are moving out of the winter months it is time to bring the Mustangs out of storage, don’t forget to check
your battery health.”

My Mustang is a Black (stock) 1997 Coupe, with the little 3.8. I purchased the car in the spring of 2005 (with boys off to college and minivan broken) and joined Pierce County Mustang Club in November of that year. I've been a member for 10 years! I've learned so much about Mustangs and how to show a car and how to polish & wax but the biggest thing I've learned is what a great group of people this club has for members! I don't get to meetings very often because of my work but I sure enjoy this group of wonderful folks!

One special day a year, the Mustang world unites by taking their Mustangs to the road! All Mustang enthusiasts know April 17th is the birthdate of the Mustang and was first shown to the automotive world at the New York World's Fair. The goal of the National Mustang Day is to unite all of the Mustang enthusiasts, by driving their Mustang. Imagine one day a year, the Mustangs are everywhere! In fact, the Mustang Club of America celebrates April 17th every five years as a Mustang Birthday Celebration. To make this happen, it will take Mustang Clubs, Registries and enthusiasts to help or-ganize the National Mustang Day. How? This year, April 17th falls on a Sunday, a perfect day to go on a cruise. Organize a cruise, invite friends and neighbors to join as passengers. As the Mustang World organizes such activity, let us know, so we can add it to the web-site. We want to be the home base to help spread the information so clubs, Registries, and automotive organizations can see how the Mus-tang Nation celebrates National Mustang Day. So let’s get the Mustangs fixed up, cleaned up and take to work, let your co-workers know you are a Mustang enthusiast, and you will find out your co-workers are Mustang enthusiasts, too. Let the world see why we are Mustang en-thusiasts. Whether you take the Mustang on a cruise or to work, it is a day to drive the Mus-tang. Nationalmustangday.com is your headquarters to help make this event become part of the Mustang World.
To help make this event build to the level to make all Mustang owners proud to be part of the Mustang World, we will approach the Mus-tang manufacturers and service companies to help advertise the event to their customers. We also want to approach traditional restau-rants and retailers, to help bring more attention to National Mustang Day.
To make this a National event, we would like all clubs, Registries or/ad individuals to register their plans. For those clubs that register, we will send them a window decal to proudly dis-play that they took part in the National Mustang Day-the largest Mustang event ever held.
From Our Club:
PCMC is celebrating with a Mustang Day Cruise to West Seattle. Monika has taken this on and it should be a great event. We have done a similar drive before and it was spectacu-lar.
As the article says, clean up those ponies and bring them out to ride. Ironically April is National Straw Hat Month as well. What goes together bet-ter than a Mus-tang, ride, and a straw hat?!

It may have been a cool day but that didn’t stop members from showing up to enjoy a March cruise with fellow club members and friends and family.
Thank you Jerry and Kathy for organizing another fun cruise and poker run.
We had about 24 cars and about 38 people go for a 2 hour cruise
that ended in a fabulous lunch at Tonala Restaurant in Bethel Station.
There were prizes for best cos-tumed couple, best kid green costume, best poker hands and worst poker hands. Kathy
made some great (and very usable) scarves for raffle prizes.
We saw lots of peo-ple out for this event
which was really spectacular. We hope this is how all of our cruises will be. Lots of people, lots of cars, and lots of fun.
