Pope’s Intention for April
Doctors and their Collaborators in War Zones
For doctors and their humanitarian collaborators in war
zones, who risk their lives to save the lives of others.
Stewardship Quote
In the second reading today, St. Paul reminds the Colos-
sians that they have been raised with Christ, exhorting
them to “think about the things above rather than things
of earth.” We, too, have been raised with Christ. Let us
rejoice and be glad!
EASTER BLESSINGS 2019
At the beginning of our Lenten
season, the Holy Father Pope
Francis sent us a message. It
read in parts: “Dear Brothers &
Sisters, each year, through
Mother Church, God “gives us
this joyful season when we
prepare to celebrate the paschal
mystery with mind and heart
renewed...as we recall the great events that gave
us new life in Christ” (Preface of Lent I). He
went further to note that “let us not allow this
season of grace to pass in vain! Let us ask God to
help us set out on a path of true conversion. Let
us leave behind our selfishness and self-
absorption, and turn to Jesus’ Pasch. Let us
stand beside our brothers and sisters in need,
sharing our spiritual and material goods with
them. In this way, by concretely welcoming
Christ’s victory over sin and death into our lives,
we will also radiate its transforming power to all
creation.” (Pope Francis, 2019).
I hope that his has been your experience during
this period?! As we celebrate the risen Lord this
Sunday, may the resurrection of our Lord renew
us all in St. Joseph the Worker Cluster.
My prayers for all those who during this period
lost loved ones, you are in our prayers.
Happy Easter!
